Same with my 1998 F150 that was sold in this past February; it still looked like new for the most part with some scrapes here and there, one of the reason I sold it for more than targeted for.Lol, my 1994 Ranger didn't get your memo about DIBL durability nor did anyone else's. Mine was in at time of sale in 2017 having been put in in 1995 having been parked outside its entire life. Looked the same as when I installed it.
Just keep in mind that it was made 25 years ego, there's no guarantee that the current DIBL had the same thickness/gauge as it had back then. It might just be less material with higher cost and call it "progress"....
