I often go pickup wood or other items and leave the gate down. Because the camera faces the ground, the backup camera helpfully blasts a continuous beep at me (as if I didn't know what was going on!) The beep lasts as long as you have the gear in reverse. Unnecessarily annoying.

I was wondering if that can be turned off using forscan or something. Any ideas?

I don't want to disable all the warning beeps, just that one specific instance.

Depending on what year your Maverick is, there is a "silent tailgate alarm" button somewhere on your truck. On my 2025, it appears in the upper right corner of my infotainment display.
But I'm with you. I don't need an alarm screaming at me about the tailgate being down when I'm already trying to concentrate on backing up without the camera.

This is what I have to tap to silence mine. Friend of mine has a ‘22 Ranger with the same button, but it’s a physical one on his console. It’d seem weird to me that ‘25 is the first year it was offered on a Maverick, but I also don’t feel it’d be a surprise either.

I believe OP's is pre-25. So it'd be in the instrument cluster Menu > Settings > Driver Assist > Rear Parking Aid On/Off.

In order to get our trucks to behave exactly how we want them to, I feel the only option is to get ForScan going.
I’m shopping for cheap tablets with Windows right now and am gonna uncheck so many boxes. I’m giddy with excitement over it all.
