I know some cars do this but wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Not sure if maybe it’s on sync3?

Check this thread:

Can you put in REVERSE while DRIVING?

Post #1: My tundra would allow you to put the shifter into “R” while driving so that you could activate the back up camera to keep an eye on the trailer. Anyone know if this works for the maverick?

Post #22: Update. It does work 👍👍

Holy shit that works? Wouldn’t it just go into reverse when you stop?

Just tested it out. Yes the camera goes on but the truck also goes into neutral and when you get to a slow speed it puts itself in reverse. So kind of pointless if you are cruising

I wish I could do this in my transit. Haven’t found a way yet. Total oversight (or overthinking) by ford on this. Especially on a vehicle with no damn windows.

Not sure as I don't have mine yet. But there is a mod at FMods for Sync 3
On-Demand Rear View Camera

"

With this mod you can activate the RVC On-Demand by pressing a new button added in the RVC settings page.

Beware that in some cars, based on BCM configuration and also based on car platform itself the BCM may shutdown camera once the vehicle reach a certain speed (usually 20km/h) "
