Does anyone know if Ford builds these Mavericks based on the cost ?
I ordered pretty basic '24 XL Hybrid that was about $27K.
I think maybe this will never be built since it is on the cheap side vs. the almost $40K top of the line.
Any ideas ?
This is a complete guess/assumption on my part, but I would imagine that when Ford determines the mix of trims in the total capacity they plan for the year, they have to profit margin into account. In other words they likely know how many Lariat’s they need to sell to make up for the thinner margins they get on the XL’s. Of course they also have to factor in customer demand. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to get that prediction right each year.

There are several items at play with any order. There is a very long waiting line for XLT's and XL's. Does your dealer have any allocations? And last but not least is your build. Did you add anything on the constrained list? Our 23 rollover Lariat Hybrid was scheduled for Oct 16th then pushed back to Oct 23rd. It is currently awaiting shipping. Our new July order for a second Lariat Hybrid is scheduled for Oct 30th. The only option on both was the moon roof. So long story short if you want it faster a Lariat seems to be the way to go.

The customer having some control of their own build, what a wonderful concept!

I'm really worried about the splash guards on my build scheduled for the week of October 23. I had requested they be removed ten days before the build date was scheduled, and was told they were. I even signed the updated build sheet and emailed it back, confirmed the salesperson received it, and ordered splash guards elsewhere the next day. Ends up they weren't removed after all, which I discovered when Ford sent the build information! It is going to be a nerve-racking week or so until I hear if my build goes into production. šŸ¤ž
At this point I wouldn't worry, if your scheduled, they have (or anticipate having) the parts to build it. Now, if your scheduled week keeps getting moved back, then I would worry.

Yeah my modules came up so I'm feeling confident the truck is alive. Just waiting on Ford's official confirmation.

TrailMaster, IIRC from another thread, your build and my build were very similiar, with splash guards etc added. And we both have the same dates as far as the build week, "In production" date, and the date the modules went live. So, you'r not alone.

I am hoping the hold up between the modules going live and being notified that it's been "Built" is the vehicle is now having the options installed.

Given the very very long list of data from the modules, It's gotta be that or someone has been using it as an Uber in Hermosillo over the weekend.

I ordered an Azure Gray EcoBoost XLT on 10/12 now scheduled for production the week of 12/4. Top multi-brand truck dealer in GA, so way quicker than I expected. Been hitting Amazon pretty hard to come up with accessory wish lists I can order right before delivery. Also looking for a wheel/tire upgrade, probably Sparco Terra's with MICHELINDEFENDER LTX M/S.

Is the splash guard availability thing still a real issue, or is it just a holdover in peoples minds from a problem in previous years? I hope the former, as I ordered splash guards and other options listed as a "constraint" items.

I didn't even know there was such problems until I joined this forum. Lack of me doing enough research, I guess?

I have seen others, beside myself, who's vehicles are currently in production that also have those items selected as an option. I wouldn't think Ford would start building a bunch of trucks that they knew they didn't have all the parts for, but maybe?

Come on "Built" e-mail!
Been told that ford builds the truck and shipped it to the dealership and they add the extra stuff to the truck. Like sprayed in bed liner, all weather flooring mats, locking tail gate latch. Etc.
This information came from ford dealership in western Kentucky.

I will confirm what someone else already replied. Splash guards and cover should absolutely be removed. These are considered very constrained items by Ford and will keep you from getting your Maverick. These are items that can be easily added when you get your truck.
I read this before so did not include the trifold tonneau cover that I wanted. Then received this from the dealer ā€œI confirmed with my manager that it won't add extra time to the buildā€

I am not able to add my build to the ā€œOrder Submissionā€ on this site at this time because the form does not have option for ā€œ2024ā€. So Iam listing the information for my order below.

And ask a question, Is there anyone else who is a first timer who has ordered a 2024 Maverick.

I placed my order thru my local Ford dealership on 7/18/2023 for 2024 Maverick, Color: Atlas Blue Metallic, XLT FWD, .20L Ecoboost, XLT Luxury Package, only add on's - Fullsize spare tire & engine block heater.

Signed, Gretal.

P.S. I have found a lot of information on this site. And hope to be a Maverick Girl some time down the road.
