This is a complete guess/assumption on my part, but I would imagine that when Ford determines the mix of trims in the total capacity they plan for the year, they have to profit margin into account. In other words they likely know how many Lariatās they need to sell to make up for the thinner margins they get on the XLās. Of course they also have to factor in customer demand. I canāt imagine how difficult it must be to get that prediction right each year.Does anyone know if Ford builds these Mavericks based on the cost ?
I ordered pretty basic '24 XL Hybrid that was about $27K.
I think maybe this will never be built since it is on the cheap side vs. the almost $40K top of the line.
Any ideas ?
