I've had two Hyundais. Both Tucsons. Never had an issue with the engine or transmission. Once I bought used, a 2007, the other I bought new, a 2019. I had one recall on the 2019. I don't remember what it was for, but I was in and out in no time to get the recall completed. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Hyundai. I just don't like the Santa Cruz, which is why I got a Maverick and have another on order. I do agree, the Mav looks better.
Completely agree with your assessment of the Hyundais. I've had two Palisades (one leased ... purchased a new one when the lease ended) and that car is amazing. The ride is smooth yet has a good feeling for the road. Electronics are full scale and the interior is luxurious and holds up well with youngsters. If you need a full size SUV (seats 7) and don't want to pay for a "luxury" vehicle (BMW, Audi, Lexis, Jaguar, etc.) the Hyundai is a great deal.

I appreciate that you are sending out the alarm... while the Hyundai and KIA recalls are expansive, it is not quite the "ton of recalls" you imply as being pandemic in proportion. Alas, I do concede you may not have intended that to be such... Remember recalls are happening with the Maverick as well, and on a steady basis.

"Their whole line up..." Actually: Specifically, this recall will affect the 2021-22 Hyundai Santa Fe, Sonata, and Veloster N models, as well as the 2022 Elantra N, Kona N, and Santa Cruz models.

Hardly "their whole line up".... Be healthy, help others and spread the Good News...
