Anyone doing a Build & Price on a F-150 Platinum will realize just how great the Maverick is priced. Very different capability limits but a lot of full size trucks rarely get loaded.

I would suggest waiting until your Maverick arrives so you can test drive, look at it, and then decide. Especially if you have a refundable deposit then really what do you have to lose?
Nice idea, BUT!!!!
I am having it Drop Shipped in Florida. I have to pay a deposit $1,100-$1,300 in case I don't take it. That way the PA Dealer has the bucks to get the truck shipped to PA. So if I decline it it will cost me over $1,000. Hard for a retiree to walk away from $1,000, that's half my social security check.

I'd wait until a local dealer had a "lot Maverick" to review. I agree, $1,000 is very hard to walk away from these days.

I hear that. We had a day 2 full size bronco reservation, spent the last year tracking all the build info and news, saw it in person and just decided for the size of it and such, day to day driving would not be super fun until u got off-road , just didn't make sense anymore with the build we put together@ 46k - $33k !oaded XLT should do the trick, hopefully.
We had a First Edition and Wild Track reserved the day the order banks opened up and let them go later that year end of October.
I should have went ahead and got the First Edition and sold it for the HUGE markup people are doing currently.

Oh I understand that! That is a big chunk of change to just say "no thanks" to.

Has anyone changed their order after it was submitted? I chatted with a ford customer service representative and they it can’t be changed after it is submitted.

BS. You can make changes up until it is Scheduled to be Built. Then you are locked.

That is true if Ford Area Manager changed your priority code to 02. But it's it still has a retail code between 10 and 19 you can change anything. I changed mine literally the day before I got my build notice and it had gotten changed to an 02 the same afternoon I made the changes. Sales Rep called and said, man you made it by the skin of your teeth. None of his Hybrids have been scheduled, nothing but EB. I was switching from Hybrid to 2.0 EB and now I have an Oct 4th build week.

I'm considering (likely) cancelling my order with the dealership here in Atlanta and taking advantage of one of the offers here on the forum from another city.

I placed my order June 28th. July 1st I emailed the dealer wanting to make a few changes and he said he'd get on it.

Hadn't heard anything from Ford, so I emailed the dealer this week to see what he was hearing and to ask about pricing (doc fee, etc.). I told him about the other offers available.

He came back at MSRP + 899 doc fee and OH BY THE WAY they had never updated my order on July 1, would I just prefer to add those items with aftermarket parts?

I'm a bit steamed. I wasn't in a particular hurry to get the truck, but I ordered early so I wouldn't be in the back of the line either. Best I can tell, MSRP + $899 doc fee is about $2500 more than I'd pay at Invoice - 4% + $394 doc.
I shopped around found a dealer sold for MSRP plus $150 doc fee + tax /Lic

I'm not happy that the XLT doesn't come with Push Start or remote start, I might have to get that added (remote start)

Today, my wife realized that "Base model" meant a hybrid, which reminded her of the Prius I used to have that she hated driving. Then she asked about the fancy electronics (she was thinking about the Durango that we had that she didn't like to drive, especially when she saw the same shifter knob).

I had called Ford Customer Service to make sure they had my right E-Mail, since it wasn't on the Preview Order form. The nice lady updated it and my phone number. She also answered my questions:
1. The first E-Mail I should expect from Ford would be the VIN when they schedule production.
2. It will be 6-8 after that before I see the vehicle.
3. I asked about the "rumor" (postings here) that there would be no hybrids built until December? She thought for several seconds and said "It could be true, because we aren't making any now."

When my wife heard that it would be December, she suggested cancelling my order. So, yes, I will be talking to the dealer tomorrow.
