Anyone else having daily issues with infotainment?

I get it that this radio sucks in general but Is this a phone problem with either Apple IOS or Android version compatibility? It seems like more Android users are having problems with this unit glitching and locking up or am I mistaken?
It's not just Android, my Apple does it too with CarPlay. Listening to a podcast and the whole thing just disconnects. This morning, got in the car, pressed the audio button and FM comes on just blaring, and unable to turn it down immediately. Eventually, the infotainment system got through it's lag in about 2 minutes and then functioned properly.

I suspect it's either the bluetooth, or the fact that the infotainment system is communicating with the vehicle/modem that causes the lag.

Disconnects are very common. I've noticed bumps can sometimes cause disconnects and it seems as though the USB connector (Vehicle side) has some play to it. Other times it just disconnects because it feels like disconnecting. It truly is my BIGGEST complaint with the Maverick!

This weekend for the second time over the past 3 months the screen was frozen. It still connected to my phone and was playing music. I could still change the volume but the screen was stuck on maps. Once I turned the truck off and back on it worked again.

This has been an issue for me since day one. I use bluetooth exclusively streaming SiriusXM. It will connect and I will lose connection within about 2 minutes or it will pause the show I am listening to. I have to hit the play button to resume, but that only lasts a couple minutes until it looses the connection with my Iphone. This is a PIA but I am living with it. I keep looking for an OTA update but it says I am up to date.

I did have the screen freeze once and it was unresponsive to anything. I parked it and waited about 1 hour. When I got back in it was back to normal. Glitchy normal:)

I suspect this infotainment system suffers from low processor speed and ram; which gets bogged down with commands or just freezes, due to an inability to process efficiently. Be interesting to see a tear down of this unit. Hopefully they will have further updates that sort this out.

Very basic system, expecting Sync4 or even Sync3 performance while multi tasking may be beyond it's ability.

I'm Also having troubles

1. my GPS signal will be lost constantly (its never lost GPS signal before ever, and as soon as i disconnect it from the infotainment it regains GPS and never drops it)

2. My audio cuts out constantly

3. My device is 'unreadable' often

4. it takes up to 5 minutes before my phone will connect to the infotainment, it just randomly will come on

overall unimpressed by the infotainment system

Don't want to jinx myself, but so far the radio, carplay and sirius in mine has been flawless. Hope it all gets figured out/resolved. Sorry I dont have anything to contribute other than a reset and software update. Good Luck

I understand that most automakers suck at infotainment, but I’m curious if my issues are common or unique to my truck. So far I’ve experienced:

  • Audio cutting out entirely 2x
  • Backup camera not opening, completely freezing infotainment 3x
  • Minor lag / skipping on backup camera on occasion
  • Bluetooth connecting to my phone, but I cannot select it as an audio source on occasion
  • My biggest issue: Bluetooth disconnecting while playing audio. This happens damn near every day. Sometimes it reconnects immediately, sometimes it needs to be reset
Software is up to date. Does anyone have any insight as to how likely we are to get regular updates to fix bugs?
Yes. When I make a phone call it will cut off for no reason and switch to my phone speaker or hang up the call without notice. I don't have Sync but it shouldn't affect the phone from what I have read in the owners manual. When I take it in for the airbag recall I will be mentioning it.

I’ve had a 2023 ford Maverick for the past five months. It’s been in the shop 7 times for the Bluetooth not working at all, the gear shift gets stuck in reverse, and there is a rattle in the dash that they have supposedly fixed four times. They say nothing is wrong with the blue tooth but I’m having the same issues you are with it not connecting, can’t call anyone since they can’t hear me, and it switches from radio to phone or completely shuts off but apparently nothing is wrong with it. Has anyone received any advice on what is happening with the system or how to fix it?
