Anyone Else Have The Reverse Clunk.

Make sure your foot is on the brake before reversing. I have heard the clunk.

Uh... on my 2.0 you cannot shift to R without foot on brake

Could be the issue. Once out of park I do gear changes without the brake sometimes.

Yes I definitely have noticed the clunk

Did you find the solution?

I feel the clunk in reverse. I opened the hood and see the engine shake 2 times when put in reverse. It could be from the shake

It might happen with a cold engine with an increased idle speed. Not much to worry about unless it is a constant occurrence through the temperature range. If not just turn your radio up.

I noticed the clunk too, every time it is below 0 degrees Celsius. Dealership just said “didn’t pull any codes” and sent me away. So not super helpful but yes I have this issue consistently and it’s before I take my foot off the brake.

Not super impressed with the dealership so far! They seem to brush off any concerns I have, which is a concern for ownership. My windshield literally randomly cracked on the inside, and they said it’s my fault because I must have driven over a bump causing a stress crack. Okay???! Didn’t know I should expect my truck to not be able to drive over bumps (in my neighbourhood) without causing damage?? Love the truck but this stuff has me concerned for what I’ll be left with after warranty is up….

I've noticed a very slight delay and minor clunk shifting to reverse on cold starts. Never when warm. Doesn't bother me but I'll keep an eye on it.

OP, what did you do? Did you bring it in?

No waiting for it to go boom then they can give me a new trans. Im not wasting one more minute of my life at the Ford garage.
