thinking about it but in reverse. I have a deposit on a XL eco coming in. Canceled customer order. Not the exact specs I want but pretty close. I might order one after I drive it a bit.

Yea I did actually. Bought an XLT ecoboost AWD last month and traded it in last week for a lariat hybrid luxury. I broke even and got $500 over MSRP which paid off the loan I had. Didn’t even make a payment yet.

My 2001 Ranger is 21 years old. It can drink now LoL. But I'm driving my wife's 2015 Taurus sense she works from home.

I've been waiting since June. My Subaru blew a head gasket over Christmas. My first inclination was to see what else was available, rather than spend a month rebuilding the engine. The dealer was no help, used cars are too expensive. Found a good mechanic and put a new engine in the Subaru costing $3k and done in a week. I hope it is worth the wait for my hybrid.
Ouch. On my Subaru (2006), I made sure to replace the head gasket “early” (at about 90k miles if I remember right).

I have an XLT EB (FX4, 4k, 360) I ordered in September/October. Was told it would be ready around now to February. I have little faith it will be built in time and didn't want to wait around. When I found my XL at MSRP I said F it.

My placeholder has really grown on me. I don't envision buying my original build if and when it becomes available.

I bought a Santa Cruz....not sure its a place holder, I will know when my Lariat Hybrid shows up in March...
Did you pay any ADM? I’ve only seen a couple and they had a 2500-3000 ADM

Sadly my Maverick is sort of the place holder for whenever they drop the $20k markup on the bronco. I traded in my wrangler for the mav and as much as I love it I painfully miss having the option to remove the roof and doors :)

I'm wondering how that effects your credit rating though if you buy a car, have it for a few months to a year, and then trade it in for another car.

So I traded my cmax in when I ordered my maverick thinking we could go one car until it arrived. Knowing it was gonna take longer than expected, ordered in August, I bought a pt cruiser. Got my maverick this past Saturday so now trying to decide what to do with the car.

With the way the used car market is going I’m strongly considering buying a low option XLT to drive for a few months while waiting for my Lariat Lux that still isn’t scheduled

Anyone else done this? It Seems my dealer has had several stock orders arrive that my salesperson wasn’t aware of (and my buddies in service see the truck drop them off so I get the heads up)

My current truck is getting traded in on Monday for my wife’s new Telluride. Starting Tuesday I’ll be driving my daughters Jeep Liberty…. Not excited about it one bit
Plus the wait is killing me
Yep. My order should be here in March. Lariat lux. Been riding around in a xlt

I have my 2002 PT Cruiser that I will still have when my Maverick XLT comes in most likely around May or June I hope. Cruiser has 234k on the clock but still running good.
