The Maverick is our 3rd daily driver. The Maverick, TRX and my wife's DD stay outside, the other good cars stay in the garage. I do (6) 1000 mile fishing trips a year and will use the Maverick for most of them. I'll probably put 8k miles a year on the Maverick, in 3 years that's 24k miles I keep off the TRX. . Plus I'm an old Ford guy since I purchased my first BOSS351 car in 1973 and have owned and own many BOSS302 Mustangs, Panteras, 428 CJ cars, GT500, GT350s, Viper, etc.. and I like the Maverick and wanted to try it out....

So I put a deposit down on a dealer stock Escape PHEV SEL that will hold me over till the MavBrid arrives. Will also give me a chance to experience Ford's hybrid system as well even though a PHEV is a little different it's mostly the same.

Not really a PHEV doesn't act like a hybrid (well unless you push the EV/Hybrid button)

Well, I’ll also say that there were times early on where my daily driver was an early Ford Fiesta, a 1974 lime green Pinto station wagon with fake wood sides, a 1986 ford Escort wagon, etc. while my wife got the new, safe cars to transport our children. And bill-paying day every month was horrible because I didn’t know how I was going to make things work and pay my mortgage and bills. Many sacrifices and lean times early.....

How much over MSRP did you pay for that? Here in PHX every dealer is asking 30K over MSRP for them.

ADMs around me can be close to the same for trucks on the lot, I was able to order the loaded L2 truck for under MSRP. Well worth the wait.....

No new automotive toys, but I have been filling my time with home improvement projects. Getting anything that doesn't need lumber or drywall out of the way while I wait for my truck.

Just finished automating all of our interior and exterior lights and door locks. Blinds are next. Then putting new tile the bathroom.

Hopefully I won't run out of steam by the time the truck shows up in like a year

Yes, I bought a "new toy" as I'm waiting on my hybrid XLT with CP360 and the lux pkg in Velocity Blue I ordered on 15 Oct.

I was lucky enough to find a 2022 hybrid XL in VB to hold me over until my order arrives. I'll sell it when mine finally gets here.

No new toys, just collecting up toys to add to my maverick when it shows up, and continuing on the restoration of one of my other toys. 1969 Plymouth Barracuda 340-S. A lot of metal replacement, sandblasting and white epoxy primer do far. Last pic is the 18x8s I have for my new trucklet. I have the tires for it as well. Going to get them mounted and balanced on my next days off.
