If your window sticker says perimeter alarm, shove your head under the steering wheel and look at the back of the ODB port. If the box is there, then congrats, if not they are cheap on eBay.

My xlr lux pkg was supposed to supposed to come with it, but moving to a 2023 from 2022 removed it. Added it the other day, turned the sensitivity all the way clock wise, locked the truck, pounded the window and the alarm went off. Exactly what I want if someone hits me in a parking lot.

Ok my 2022 XLT came equiped with the 300A equipment group package, it includes alarm systems (i know I set it off by mistake while sleeping inside i moved at it went off) I just checked ford Canada web and here is a pic of included security systems with this package 300A.
This 300A package is included with the XLT no added charge.

Shhh. Don't bring your actual real world experience into this. 😆

There is an alarm. It is armed when you hit the lock twice on the remote and it honks. There just aren't interior sensors.

But folks are having problems understanding what the word "perimeter" means. Y'all, it's talking about people trying to get into the vehicle. It's pretty simple.

But THERE IS an interior motion sensor / alarm …I know i set it off. Its included on all XLT at least on canadian ford build site. Why is this so difficult?

But it seems there are people who have a reading disability to understand what is being written.
Then explain it or is this just a “duh” moment? 🙄

No, at least I'm not confused about the word perimeter, and in fact I even pointed out the definition in an earlier post.

What people are confused about is the Owner's Manual specifically saying there ARE interior sensors, and that the Owner's Manual also says that you can disable those interior sensors through the Alarm menu on the display, but there isn't an Alarm menu.

There are some obvious questions about what the alarm system actually is, and what's included in it.

Specifically:
What exactly is included in the "Perimeter Alarm" that is listed as EQUIPPED on the window sticker?

What exactly is included in the "Securilock Anti-Theft System" that is listed as EQUIPPED on the window sticker?

What is included in the "Ford Perimeter Plus" system that is listed as an option that can be added?

You'd think these should be pretty simple to answer, and it is pretty amusing that we can't seem to find an answer from any Ford documentation.

There are Not Interior sensors or inclination sensors on the Maverick. I went through this a year ago when I got mine with my dealer. You must have opened a door to set off the alarm. They would be up in the module that covers the camera if there were any. The little thing that looks like one is the temperature sensor.

It was probably put in the manual in case they decided to include it, which they did not. That's why it says" if equipped." They should have removed this section from the 2023 manual at least.

Basic Perimeter Alarm(That's how it's listed on my 2022 lariat lux window sticker) includes door and hood alarm if they are opened.

Perimeter Plus add-on alarm, which I installed, adds a two-stage shock sensor and remote start if you don't already have it. It will also send you alerts through the Ford pass app when your alarm has been set off.

Seems to me that the answer is pretty simple, it is something that the 2023 Maverick Lariat does not have, regardless what the window sticker states. This statement is based others' posting in this thread with their own experience with the 2023 Maverick Lariat. In another word, it's not an "official statement". What some of us are looking for is an official statement for these items.

I've just tested one of the alarms with the windows open and the car locked via the door handle. Opening the door via the inside handle does set off the alarm for 30 seconds, if the remote is far enough from the Mav. I am not certain as to which two categories of alarms it falls under, perimeter maybe?

The next test is the interior motion alarm, I guess that's the only way to see what my Maverick has.

There is an alarm. It is armed when you hit the lock twice on the remote and it honks.
That's just wrong, locking the Maverick with the door handle, if equipped 🤣, also activates the alarm. When locking the Maverick with the door handle it does not honk either....

And you wonder why this thread has more questions than answers....

Many people have explained it at a 4th-grade level and people still don't get it.

I doubt that the Maverick has it nowadays...

I've tested it to day by jumping on the bumper, rock the front as well, and had someone locked into the Maverick for 10 minutes or so. Not a beep from the alarm system

This is my test results today, YMMV....
Thanks for checking. It was the closest that I’ve seen on the topic coming from Ford. Oh well…

Many people did and quite of few of them had been wrong, showing that just how far the 4th-grade level takes people...
