Absolutely! It is plug and play really, comes with a harness and you unplug the OBD cable from the back of that port, then plug this new harness into the rearof the obd port, plug the previously removed harness into this new one. This has a smaller plug that goes to the new module. No dealer needed. Watch for the 15% off sales, thank I paid 185 and it shipped super fast. Holler if you need the Install guide Info, igot it from another member here, @uh50 , you can find his thread too, loaded with details.
Thank you!

@LC48 You didn't have to enable Perimeter Alarm Guard Control with Forscan so that it shows up on the Vehicle Settings menu?

No sir. Once installed the manual has you do a little brake peddle / key switch dance so that the new module is recognized. Then you perform a series of tests to ensure all works, and to make any adjustments to the shock sensor sensitivity, and away u go

Was meant to say bashed or banged my window.
I was wondering if you had misspelled baste and wondering if you were planning on using a brush or one with the squeeze bulb? 🤔

Thanks. Assuming it's alerts you with the Ford Pass app if it is set off, like the standard perimeter alarm does.

I found it at sunrisefordparts for $165, but did not know you had to use Ford points in person. Which means I'd have to get it from a local dealer for $215.

Yep, just an extension of the base Perimeter alarm system. I have not installed the led yet as strangely enough the fomoco site forces you to add installation to the cart, $40 on a $15 part - weirdos. I emailed @Ford Motor Company accessories asking wth, course all I got in response was crickets...........

So will have to go to the dadgum dealership- for a stinking $15 LED.

You can use points online at fairway ford. Ive bought with points from them and so have many on this forum.

Thanks, how would you do that.
I'm on the checkout page and I see a spot to enter credit card information or PayPal and then submit order, there's nowhere to enter Ford pass points.

You have to call them or send them a message.

I emailed: [email protected]

I told them the item I wanted, gave them the item number, and gave them my fordpass account number, name, address, etc.

The next email I got from them simply said, "It will ship tomorrow."

Thanks, ordered one today from fairwayford for $170 and used my Ford Points.
Is this the install manual you used?

Did you disconnect the negative battery terminal and do everything I circled in red?

You got it - and I did not bother with pulling the battery ground. No action required for the key fob to work as a remote start.

I messaged him and he wasn't clear on the interior sensors.
What I thought was an interior sensor is the temperature sensor. So the factory perimeter alarm on the XLT and lariat only alarms when you open the door hood or tailgate.
The perimeter Plus add-on adds a two-stage shock sensor, which is what the manual has to be referring to as interior sensors and inclination sensors. But they need to make that more clear. It makes it sound like they are standard with the Perimeter Alarm.

Your Perimeter Alarm is only the Doors, hood, and tailgate. You can test it by rolling a window down then arming the truck, press lock twice and the horn should honk.

Take the key away from the truck a distance then go and reach in and open the door. The Alarm should go off.

The Manual is deceiving because it describes Interior Sensors and an Inclination Sensor, which are ONLY available on the extra Perimeter Plus module you have to buy. The manual says nothing about this.

Thanks, I got it installed but may need to change the mounting location. It's not going off on max setting if I hit the passenger side. I tried securing to that bracket in the picture. Didn't see any solid metal cross members.
Where did you mount yours? Also the Ford Pass app no longer gives a message if the alarm is set off, this was working a few weeks ago. Does yours send an alert?

Edit: I just got One Alarm Triggered notification in the Ford Pass app, after setting it off probably 15 times testing it.
I removed some trim pieces and secured the device higher up to a metal dash brace, it's not any more sensitive, maybe less.
