Anti - theft Alarm System

I just confirmed that my 2023 Lariat built in mid Feb has this listed on the window sticker, and does not have the alarm settings menu in the display.

If it does actually have it, I would like to have the menu settings to be able to turn off the inside perimeter sensors when I leave my dog in the truck.

There are NO inside Perimeter Sensors on the Maverick. Only Door and hood.

That is why there is no setting in the Menu Cluster, there's no need.

Unless I am reading this backwards, and "Perimeter Alarm" on the Window Sticker means it ONLY has outside perimeter sensors and not internal ones, which is very possible.

My screenshots on my conversation with Ford Chat in regards to the Perimeter Alarm for the 23 Maverick Lariat Lux. No help here…

So, Ford doesn't know, neither does the dealer; how can one find out what the maverick actually has?

Really, the question is if the Maverick Lariat actually has "Anti-theft System" installed.
For most of us, this feature does not show up in the console settings. Logically, this means that it is not installed, or during transport this function is disabled by various means. Maybe the dealer was suppose to reconnect this system prior to releasing the Maverick to the customer.

We are just looking for answers/confirmation....

"Perimeter" can mean boundary or outer limits, so this makes sense...

Correct, only Door and hood sensors. The Maverick has Never had Interior Sensors, nor does the Perimeter Plus add Interior sensors, just a shock sensor.

It is mentioned in the Manual, but if you look, That section of the Perimeter Alarm says "if equipped."

The Maverick is NOT equipped with interior sensors.
The BASIC PERIMITER ALARM is what is listed on the Window Sticker.

I went through all of this a year ago when I got my truck.

I get that, but....

In my Lariat's sticker, two security features listed:

Wouldn't the "Securilock Anti-theft Sys" indicate, that this Lariat actually has the anti-theft system? It's not too far fetch to believe that it does...

As for the "If equiped", there are number of pages that states that for various features. How am I to know which feature my Lariot actually has?

It might be a matter of semantics, but on that page I see information for the Passive Anti-Theft System and what it has. Then I see the Anti-Theft Alarm System (If Equipped) and a long list of features. It mentions it covers the doors, lift gate and hood. Next paragraph it mentions key and third paragraph interior sensors and so on. I take this to mean that if your Maverick is equipped with the Anti-Theft Alarm System, it includes all those features, not just some of them (and no way of knowing which ones if in fact some of those features might be available as part of a basic alarm). So I’m beginning to think that since I do not have an alarm option on the instrument cluster, all i actually have is the Passive Anti-Theft System and none of the features in the “If Equipped- Anti-Theft Alarm System.

One thing is clear, the Owner's Manual does not match the physical vehicle!

Like @Skyline my Lariat has both "Perimeter Alarm" and "Securilock Anti-Theft System" listed as EQUIPPED:

Given the terminology, a reasonable (but possibly incorrect) interpretation is that the "Securilock Anti-Theft System" would seem to map to the "Passive ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM" in the Owner's Manual, and the "Perimeter Alarm" would map to the "Anti-Theft ALARM System".

In the Owner's Manual it says the "Anti-Theft ALARM System" includes:
- Door, liftgate, and hood opening without a valid key (indicating sensors on these three items)
- Interior Sensors
- Inclination Sensors
- Battery disconnect sensor

It reads as if this is an all or nothing, as in if the alarm system is equipped, it includes all of these features, not just some of them.

The questions still remain (for me at least):

Maybe it is just semantics, but...

The Passive Anti-Theft System relies on the remote control for the Lariat. If it is not equipped with the Passive Anti-Theft system, then there's really no alarm whatsoever on the Lariat. Despite what the website, the manual and sticker states, there's no alarm.

Would that be correct?

Ok my 2022 XLT came equiped with the 300A equipment group package, it includes alarm systems (i know I set it off by mistake while sleeping inside i moved at it went off) I just checked ford Canada web and here is a pic of included security systems with this package 300A.
This 300A package is included with the XLT no added charge.
