Aware. Had fuel filter change on my F250 diesel at a Ford dealer. When returned to me, smelled diesel. Look under, seen diesel spilling on ground from filter. Turns out young fella cracked housing.

Another incident…boss with company vehicle had oil changed. When he drove off, vehicke stopped <1/4 mile. They dud out fresh oil in the engine!

I always ask - are your people technically qualified? I will be watching, check your work before I take delivery.
They will never tell you that they aren't qualified....haha. These places hire anyone with a pulse. I avoid them.

I always have my oil changed at a dealer. Costs more, but they will stand behind their staff and they train them. Those oil change places on the corner? Did you ever see the same employee twice? Turnover is crazy. If you ever have a problem with a dealer, go one step up and call regional. No dealer wants you to call them. Makes them look bad. I have a great dealer and I know they will always treat me well.
You are correct and that is what I do too!

Watching is best. If they are not, don't think they would admit it. If you find a good one; i'd stick with them.
They are under your vehicle and cannot be watched....I avoid these places like the plague.

Have been using nearby local Quick Change service center. Watch then nevertheless. Before I leave the site, inspect the receipt /paperwork, pop the hood, check all fluid levels.
