From the manual - a mighty useful tool.

HOW DOES PRE-COLLISION ASSIST WORK

The system warns the driver of potential hazards by providing three levels of assistance.
Ford Maverick And hello glitch again! {filename}

If your vehicle is rapidly approaching potential hazards, the system provides the following levels of functionality:
  1. Alert.
  2. Brake Support.
  3. Automatic Emergency Braking.
Ford Maverick And hello glitch again! {filename}
Alert: When active, a flashing visual warning appears and an audible warning tone sounds.
Brake Support: The system is designed to help reduce the impact speed by preparing the brakes for rapid braking. The system does not automatically apply the brakes. If you press the brake pedal, the system could apply additional braking up to maximum braking force, even if you lightly press the brake pedal.
Automatic Emergency Braking: This may activate if the system determines that a collision is imminent.
Note: If you perceive the pre-collision assist alerts as being too frequent or disturbing, then you can reduce the alert sensitivity. Setting the low sensitivity would result in fewer and later warnings of a potential forward collision. The manufacturer recommends using the high sensitivity setting where possible.
Note: Automatic emergency braking performance is not affected by the sensitivity setting.
Each system has various levels of detection capabilities. See Pre-Collision Assist Limitations.
I remember we were driving a Mazda sedan, crossing an intersection, and someone in front of us ran a red light. The Mazda stopped on its own and we felt the seat belt hold us up. On the Maverick, I can only see the red screen and warning, but I hit the brake myself. But I can't claim it doesn't work 100% - need to test.

By the way, the sound the collision avoidance system makes is loud and scary, why can't they use that sound in the sleeper driver system where something gurgles instead of a sound?

Thanks for the manual I read it before I bought the car. That's what attracted me to it. But so far in 1.5 years I haven't felt the brakes. Maybe I could be wrong, as after the red screen I pressed the brake myself. But if it would be possible to go to the range and try to knock down a paper manikin perhaps it would make it clear whether this system works or not. Doubts have arisen after other functions do not work properly.
It says it will NOT press the brakes unless the crash is imminent - meaning it's going to happen.
The auto-braking is just to minimize it.

Someone did test it, but read rest the manual for the required speeds for it's use.

Probably the scare of a sudden wakeup and jerking of the wheels ruining the whole lane-assist aspect.

Thanks for the help!!! I know how to do a reset or reboot. The question is not how to deal with the glitches. The question is how many times a day should I do this procedure? I've done it a hundred times already. Sometimes I need to do it two or three times a day. I don't believe that in order to make a call or listen to music, I have to push buttons and wait 2-3 minutes every time. Right?
Sorry - you never mentioned in those other threads that you ever did the 2 levels of resets, not going to assume - because plenty of people don't do what is already possible.

Have you had all recalls done, some of which include the module for the info-center?
Have you enabled wifi and connected just to confirm no updates to the info-center?

Unless it's stated - no one can possibly know where you are in the troubleshooting process.

Since BlueTooth seems to be a part of this from some of the videos - have you already tested with a totally different phone to confirm the issue remains?

I was going to ask you if you the dealer said anything so I appreciate you putting that in there. As for the Ford rep unfortunately we had a post a few weeks back that they were going to stop monitoring this forum. Some think that they're monitoring it secretly but I don't know.
Would love to find like-minded people willing to take the test:
- drowsy driver
- cross traffic
- lane keeping
- collision avoidance system
- stabilization system
- moose test.

If this is of interest to anyone in Ontario, I would be happy to provide my vehicle. I'm not talking about glitches like screen freezes or phone service that can be fixed with perpetual reboots and put up with it, but I want to make sure all the safety systems work, otherwise I'd like to get another car that doesn't have these issues. (not a ford).

When you have a video of something not working then you can go to the dealer and say something. The dealer has one answer - no errors - no problems.

I have visited all recall.
The wifi is on and there are no new updates. There was one update when I bought the car. Since then I think the service was updated during the recall.

I did a system reset and one day after that reset I couldn't connect to FORD PASS and for about 3-4 months I couldn't connect my phone to the car. Then I tried after a while and it worked and connected. I was recommended to pick up a different cable and even a different port. I tried both USB and TYPE-C cables. My phone works on other cars with no problems. I connected the phone and cable to a 2014 volvo and drove 700km listening to music, using the map and making calls.

If you're assuming I didn't do some sort of reset, it was 100% done at the service. My car was sometimes taken away for more than one day. I've been contacted 6 times.

I'm tired of being pissed off about it, just no power. The dealership says there are no errors - if there are none, everything is fine. I started making these videos to get attention. Ford reps are here and sometimes ask for vin codes to research. I wish the reps would buy a Maverick from me for the money I spent on it and use it on the test track. They can twist volume knobs, sleep at the wheel, knock down poles, or just set it on fire. And I would buy myself something else and be very grateful to them for a refund.
🙁

I'm starting to wonder if your phone has Bluetooth problems lol.
My phone connects to sports headphones for running, headphones for work, works at home with two bluetooth speakers. My phone also connects to two other vehicles. The problem is only on the ford.

In the video my caller hung up a long time ago, no connection on my phone either, but the Maverick screen still has a connection. If this was the only glitch I would suspect the phone too, but I have over 10 glitches in my car at the moment.

We all were so sad to see them go because they were very helpful…not!
They were helpful for me twice.
People failed to understand they were not a diagnostic center.
They were more of a go-between between your local dealership and you.

Do they have lemon laws in Canada? I'd definitely be screaming to have the dealer take it back after all that. What a nightmare!

Are you going to draw memes and say ford has nothing to do with adroid or I have the wrong smartphone? Or are we going to accept reality?
since it's not Android Auto I wouldn't really expect it to be Android related. Given that the whole interface was sort of locked up it certainly seems like it's a Ford problem.
