"Bdallas" Bud,
Other than the the outside ambien air temperature showing 50° off.
Was it Above or Below ambient temp.?
Did you notice any other possible related problems?? Such as engine, climate control....???
Is the temperature always 50° off or does it happen sporadically?
There is a reason for the questions.
I just don't want to steer you towards a specific reply.
It's been 50 above and 50 below. It does mess with the climate control

That's exactly the answer I was looking for, but didn't want to lead you.
During the summer when I go through the Tunnel of Torture Car Wash. It will drop the ambient temperature display about 20 to 25° and it will affect the air conditioning for the climate control.
If the displayed temperature is 80° before I enter the car wash. When I exit the car wash it will have dropped the displayed temperature to 60° and the A/C turns off. It will stay that way until the water evaporates and the sensor warms up and returns to the correct ambient temperature.

Only because I've seen this happen before in other systems, that support F and C.

Up to 50 F off. So not constant.

What was an actual reading though at some point?
And do you recall what the outdoor temp should have been at that point?
If you have truck - just get the current info:
Dash reading.
Actual outside.

Besides that - did they reset the calibration?
If Forscan Lite has it - I know their scanner does.

Can you tell me how to find this in forscan? My actuator may need recalibrated.

Sounds like the dealer is just firing the parts cannon instead of actually diagnosing the problem. In the '23 model year, the AAT (Ambient Air Temp) sensor is measured by the PCM, and I would think the '24 is the same. The ambient air temp should be in the OBD2 data stream so this should in theory make diagnosis much easier. Replacing the HVAC control may be a red herring (or a fabrication). At this point it seems you may have a problem in the wiring harness. Aside from the connectors at sensor and PCM, there's a 12-pin connector (C121) in the right front (between harness 15K867 and 14290) that could have a fault. The sensor goes thru pins 1 (green/blue) & 2 (green/white). There is also a splice inside the harness in the LF, but that seems pretty unlikely.

Not only did it fix temp but my Mav started running better..bonus!
That's not surprising--the computer should be taking air temperature into account when setting the fuel/air mix. Give it the wrong temperature, and get something suboptimal.

(unless there is a separate measure of the intake air temperature--but that would be surprising unless something is done to cool or heat the air between intake and ignition).

In Forscan Lite for android - it's on main screen under Procedures.

Not used Forscan for Windows, but assuming something similar from Home Screen.
