Air Deflectors reduce wind noise?

I've never had a front window deflector that made it more quiet, and on all past vehicles I at least tried it, before removing it and keeping the rear window covers in.
I did not try on the Mav.

I only installed the rear ones in order to crack the windows in summer heat.
Small cab heats up pretty fast when it has to sit in sun. 10-15 F difference if a slight breeze.
Despite being right behind my left ear - I don't hear it at fast speeds.
Well, I don't hear it above rest of the wind noise.

Been battling with this for months. I live in a pretty windy area and my truck also has a whistle. I'm mostly focused on getting rid of the maddening whistle but the wind noise is also unusually loud for a newer car. I tried the window visors and they made the wind noise worse and had no effect on the whistle. I tried stuffing 4mm thick rubber "rope" around the entire windshield, covering the gap with weather stripping, adding more seals to the door, and to tackle the whistle I stuffed more rubber in the window seals. Nothing works.

let me know if you figure out the whistle. It’s honestly enough for me to consider selling. Shouldn’t be happening on a 30k+ vehicle…

Don't get mad. I'm just spitballing stuff out there. It's kind of off the wall.
Check your exhaust make sure nobody stuck one of these on it.

Just an idea.

Maybe a real bug deflector (that actually deflects bugs, more vertical) would help here. I know those have gotten hard to find as early on they caused hood shake, but that's has since been corrected.

Interestingly, I get a bit of wind noise from the side window, but almost none from the front windshield on my 2022 Lariat.
Would the laminated windshield make that much of a difference?

I have wind noise in a 2022 lariat that the dealer was unable to fix twice. They actually made it worse buy damaging my window seal on my drivers side. I can press on the seal where it is deformed and reduce the wind nose.

The area that is real bad is the passengers side, so a lot harder to pinpoint as the driver. Suspect of the window seals but I haven't tried anything yet to resolve it, thinking a bit of double-sided adhesive tape between the seal and the door frame to see if that fixes it.

My whistle is on the passenger side too. My wife cant seem to give me a clear answer about where it's coming from but I suspect the window seal. I already doubled up on the door seal and tried a bunch of stuff for the windshield. Your comment gave me an idea and I tried to put double sided tape between the window seal and where it contacts the door (on the exterior) but the tape deformed the seal and I wasn't comfortable with it. Might work better on the inside. However I had a lot of windshield seal left over and I stuck that on there as a test. I'll know more when I go for a drive. If that ends up working I think I'll silicone the window seal down for a better looking fix.

My Lariat is actually quieter than the 2012 Outback Limited it replaced, likely due to the 'Sound-Shield' glass that comes on the Lariat trim. (We also get the insulation at the back of the front fender, in front of the door opening).

Haven't driven in an XL/XLT, but wondering if opting for the Lariat windshield would make a substantial improvement on the lower trims.

Consumer Reports also noted the Lariat Hybrid they tested was markedly quieter than the XLT AWD 2.0 they'd previously tested. Not sure if that was merely engine noise, or overall sound levels.
