I had the temperature gauge to see the temperature difference between my back seat and front seat after tinting. 95 outside, 112 on the rear door and 125 on the front door. My daughter had me crank the AC and it said it was 17 degrees inside the vent, yes below freezing temps within the vent.

So, "LO" just keeps the a/c cranked to full cold, regardless of interior temp. "HI"does the same thing with the heat. There are a pair of floor ducts under the front seats that direct heat to the rear seat passengers in the cold. Me, personally, I really like having 3 levels of AUTO available, rather than having to manually turn the fan up or down if I want more air or less noise.
If you take a phone call it lowers the fan speed, and puts it back when you ha g up.

Something else about this truck I didn't know! That's an excellent feature. Many thanks for sharing that.

Now that the weather is heating up, I've had more opportunity to use the Maverick's A/C and wow, I'm very impressed with the wide variety of fan speed settings and the temperature offerings. Lowest temp in my 2002 Isuzu Axiom was 65º. The Maverick's settings go much lower at least to 60º. Not sure what temperature "Lo" is. The fan is impressive and when set on the highest speed cools off the cabin very fast. I can see why Ford opted to not put vents in the rear seat ... price point and a high speed A/C. Still would have liked to see them as part of a lux package. Anyway, those are my thoughts. As always, your comments are welcomed.
BTW, I have yet to use the MAX AC. Surely, that will have more cooling power.

I always had the problem getting AC to the back. I wonder if I can add some plastic over the vents under the seats and angle them up so it shoots air up and not just at the feet.
That is not a bad idea...

I'm guessing the rear has a darker film. What brand did you use? Huper optic & 3M are top.

The person who tinted my car used Madico tints. It is 35% in the front and 5% in the back. So extremely dark in the rear. I don't have to flip my mirror at night it is that dark!

Its been high 90s here in AZ. The AC works fairly well but I have had belter AC on other vehicles. The real test will be when its 115 out

My last new ford was a 2004 F150. On a hot humid day with the AC set on max, it would frost the vent and spit small chunks of ice. I hope the Maverick will do the same.

I live in Texas and the first thing I did for my Mav was get ceramic tint. Still gets hot if it sits in the sun for a long period of time, but cools down quick and stays cool.

I'm not sure it will do that here in Arizona, but if it can keep up with the heat here when it is 120 degrees in about 2 months or so, I will be happy.

Sounds doable.

I will say this, I'm almost always running ac. But with the hybrid I'm more aware of the affects on the mpg compared to my old Buick.

But with the lariat I've got the power rear window and running the vents or cracking the window with that open gives great air flow that ac isn't needed in a lot of instances. Once the height of summer hits I will, no question. But it's the one benefit I didn't realize about that power window.
