Now that the weather is heating up, I've had more opportunity to use the Maverick's A/C and wow, I'm very impressed with the wide variety of fan speed settings and the temperature offerings. Lowest temp in my 2002 Isuzu Axiom was 65º. The Maverick's settings go much lower at least to 60º. Not sure what temperature "Lo" is. The fan is impressive and when set on the highest speed cools off the cabin very fast. I can see why Ford opted to not put vents in the rear seat ... price point and a high speed A/C. Still would have liked to see them as part of a lux package. Anyway, those are my thoughts. As always, your comments are welcomed.

I’ve been happy with mine too. Vents under the seat work okay for my son in the back.

There's vents under the seats? Do you mean just the normal spacing under the seats? I suppose I should just twist myself into a pretzel and look for myself.

So, "LO" just keeps the a/c cranked to full cold, regardless of interior temp. "HI"does the same thing with the heat. There are a pair of floor ducts under the front seats that direct heat to the rear seat passengers in the cold. Me, personally, I really like having 3 levels of AUTO available, rather than having to manually turn the fan up or down if I want more air or less noise.

Thank you for the information. Just when I thought I knew everything about this truck!

I drove our Mav Sat and at first I was happy w the A/C it was 90°+ I was going to greenhouses and had to park in blazing hot sun for hours. I bought some orchids w blooms that wilt fast in a hot car. It took awhile for the A/C to cool the cab down enough for the plants. I vented w the moonroof to help but closed it after a minute or so. It never got really cold thou & I dont like that the middle vents are so low. Those vents will help w the lack of back vents which I am concerned about, my dogs get pu from playcamp w the Mav. I will be taking it for nano ceramic tinting ($650) in the next couple weeks which should help alot. I may have to get a small fan for the back seat, I used to have to do that w my GC Jeep to get a/c to my panting dogs. My husband was happy to hear I don't want the truck for my weekend orchid & plant buying trips 😆

Works great for me in NEFL! I’ve been keeping it on auto, mode 1 or 2 depending on the temp, and it gets it cool quick. We’re basically in our first summer now and it’s really impressed me. We’ll see how it does in July and August though.

In auto mode, I noticed the logo of the vent direction, is not lit up. Is this the way it is suppose to be? Is the air flowing out the top vents?

The vent position is controlled by the module, which is why it's not lit up. It will automatically adjust to panel vents, floor vents, defrost or some combination, based on interior, exterior temps, requested set temp, sunlight sensor and humidity sensor inputs.

I was curious about that too but assumed that it was working as you describe. Admittedly, I was too lazy to look in the owner manual. Either way, mystery SOLVED!

Velocity Blue... those 2 front door windows are not tinted right now either. The earliest I can get in for the nano ceramic is 2 weeks and I'm doing everything but the moonroof (said they don't do that - cracks). My husband said it worked fine today for dogs so maybe I didn't set something?? I turned blower up, added the lower feet, and was on Low.

Better for me to find out now it won't work for me than if I had it on a 3 day s FL trip w friends. I learned my lesson on the heat when on an all day trip w a friend in my Fusion w/o added window tint. It was so hot in the car, b/w stops, we both lost all the blooms on the orchids we paid a premium for w blooms $100+ ea. Didn't harm the plants but you don't see the blooms for another 6-12 months.

My mom has driven a Ford for 30+ years. Ask her why, she will tell you they make the best AC. Dad bought a Honda she hated, rodents totaled it (long funny story- it was new), and it was replaced with a Ford promptly.

It's not really hot in Tucson yet (about 95 today) but the AC seems fine. I ran some errands with a friend at midday and it was plenty cool when set at 72 degrees and the fan on 3.

Later in the afternoon I remote-started it when I was about 3 minutes away and it was cool when I got in the truck.

Bear in mind, though... no humidity here.
