having driven my Tremor a lot off-road I feel the departure angle is a main limitation. Rear bumper design compounds the problem I think (look at it from the side profile to see what I mean). Would love an aftermarket option if anyone knows of one.

Im just wondering where is all the pictures and video of your Tremor offroading!!!!!

As for the rear bumper, obviously there isnt one out there yet and I often build my own bumpers but this is not a 30 year old vehicle. But I did notice in the TFL review that the rear bumper was scooping up dirt. So I have been thinking, once I have it of course, of skidplating and reinforcing the rear under plastics so It cant scoop and get hung up like a gall darn graboid and also support a little weight. Probably building a steel support that goes across the bottom edge that mounts to the hitch area and then has a plate that goes forward possibly to the rear suspension cradle area. I need to do some crawling around once I get it obviously.

Another optional partial solution is adding air bags. When off road pump em up and keep the rear from squating as much in certain situations. It would help a lil bit. Also adding a hitch insert that you dont mind scraping will save a lil body damage as long as the front tires get enough grip to keep you moving.

Thanks for those ideas. Sorry I don’t have videos. I’m not an off-road or truck enthusiast I just use my truck to get from A to B with dirt in between. I can add that if you scrape the rear even lightly, the bumper cover will pop off the clips that hold it. Can be a pain to get it back on in the field.

Looking at cutting rear plastic level with upper line on plastic cover and tapering down to bottom at rear of wheel.
will then be adding a rear pre-runner style sliding tube bumper under the trimmed plastic edge up to rear subframe so as to add a skid plate for the rear diff.
already have exhaust ordered for in front of tire side exit, and am putting on a gr40 suspension setup from flatout suspension .
once I finish the rear I will post some pics .
the front is going to be a little tricky.would love to do some fiberglass fenders and bedsides too.

So far only 3/4 “ in rear , and a little over 2” in front .
Getting alignment tomorrow . Got 32” big muds mounted up.
May have to go longer on springs , have to see how the ride is

Sadly no aftermarket rear bumpers yet.
Maybe when more Mavericks are on the road we will see more accessories available.
