1. Don't let your wife drive your Mav
2. Buy your wife her own Mav

But I think I've seen somewhere on MTC that it can't be done, even with Forescan, but others know better than me about that.

Following.... Even the 2025 Lariat does offer this. It a pain to adjust when one driver is 5ft. and the other is 6ft. Ford missed the mark on my top trim Maverick.

You mean: "does not offer this", I assume.

That's right, Ford does not offer it on the Maverick even on the top tier seats.

Just thinking what it might take to add memory seat function in a Lariat.

Besides Forscan config changes (if possible):
Power Seat Switches and Seat Track Adjuster motor and Seat Back motor rewired into a Driver Seat Module (DSM) from an Escape.
Track Adjuster Motor that has Hall Sensors to feed into DSM.
Seat Track Adjuster Motor changed from MU5Z-14547-C to MU5Z-14547-A
DSM wired into MS CAN BUS.
Door Memory switch (Momentary Contacts) to feed into Lariat existing DDM Driver Door Module.

my inclination would be to disconnect from the car computer and use a microcontroller . . .

have a routine to zero by going as far as possible, and then measure travel time for there (compensating for current voltage?).

A Mark II approach would measure how far a motor has moved rather than time, and have to re-zero less often . . .

It can certainly be done mechanically or electromechanical; the 1953 Cadillac Eldorado had memory seats!

I looked into this before.
Need seat motors with the position sensors, so current seats can’t do it.
The simplest, is to get a seat bottom from an Escape and swap the underneath; it has the same seat track.
Then there is a wire or two that needs to be run; each sensor wire.
The control is the module in the door, so need one of those.
The next thing is the mirror. I suspect the mirror pins in the door module can just be grounded, so it always thinks the mirror is in the desired position..
