Hello everyone. I'm guessing this has already been discussed in length on this forum  but can someone let me know (or link to another discussion) if a dealership/Ford can add co-pilot 360 (with adaptive cruise, lane centering, blind spot detection - the whole deal) to a vehicle after the fact? And if so, how much that usually costs?

Lane keeping assist is around $40-$50 can be done yourself fairly quickly and easily.

Adaptive cruise is more involved and costs around $600-$700 for the parts but can be done. See the DIY forum.

AFAIK no one has done blind spot yet. Probably pretty expensive if it can even be done. I don't know of anyone who has had the dealer do any of this work.

Check with your insurance savings for all the safety features to show on your vin number. Then consider ordering a new truck with those features. If your state allows lower sales tax with trade consider trading in your current one.

Thanks for the replies so far. Sounds silly, but I really like the steelies as I had a 91 Ranger and I loved that truck. It brings back great memories. Also really wanted a moonroof, which isn’t an option for both now with an XL. If they end up offering the 2025 Hybrid with AWD and 4k or more towing, I’ll probably go that route though. Thanks for the insurance tip and maybe I’ll add steelies after the fact 😄.

Blind spot would require the mirrors to be changed out. The XL without CP360 has manual mirrors. Given the cost of labor and parts these days, I would suspect trading for Maverick with CP360 would be the more cost effective option.

Swapping the whole mirror assembly wouldn't be necessary. Just change the mirror glass and add the wiring. But regardless it's still a good chunk of change for the two radar transmitter/receivers, mirror glass, and wiring connectors. Ironically probably more expensive than adding ACC.

Lane assist is the feature which I have turned off. Very annoying shuddering for no reason... being the roads so bad. Cannot live without blind spot monitoring and cruise though..

It's funny you mentioned a '91 Ford Ranger. I still have a '91 Ranger XLT Extended Cab with 5.0L, Auto, 2 WD, 200K miles, original engine and transmission. It still runs but I need to go thru it to make it reliable again. My brother bought it new in '91 and I bought it from him in 2000 with 99K miles. BTW, do you know anyone in Youngstown, OH / Pittsburgh, PA area with Forscan Service for my '23 Maverick XL Hybrid? Ron
