Not my experience. I talked with several dealerships because Ford Mavericks are not robustly available . They do not know their product, no that is not right. Their de-evolving product.

We already had a post from 2023 purchaser that stated all was included by default.

Related to discussion earlier:

Ford requires the highest package on the Maverick to get ACC, but it's not that way on other models.

You can get the Ranger and F150 both with ACC in the XLT trims. Escape entry level model (Active) can have it - granted, it's a $4350 tech package, but still, the Maverick is one of relatively few Ford models that forces you into the highest trim package just to get ACC. Another vehicle that does is it the Bronco. Worse, the Bronco's lux package with ACC doesn't even have lane centering. Ask me how I know. ;)

I am sympathetic to your Maverick build issue, and you're not alone, this happened to quite a few others.

But I am not sure why you are bothering to argue this. I understand your experience and your point of view but I'm stating facts. Order guide is right here: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/2023-maverick-order-guide-pdf-is-here.20275/

Go look at it. You'll clearly see the 360 Assist called out in plain English. You could have found this information and unquestionably, some people at your dealership were made aware of this information way back in September 2022. This is not a Ford corporate thing as far as the actual missed order. It is a Ford corporate thing that they were dumb enough to make this change for '23 and then for '24 they changed again and made everything lariat lux.

I think this problem is the reason they made the Lariat in 2024 all inclusive.

I was told originally all was included with co-pilot 360 package as the name infers.

Chip shortage caused need to move vehicles out of factories. Result was breakup of package and thus another name evolves. Called co-pilot 360 assist.

This was not and currently is not being communicated to dealerships in an appropriately functional fashion. Do you read every word of every paper you sign?

I am trying to make this issue go away. So others not effected. And I am gathering data for a possible class action suit. The beat goes on. Many dealerships, sales personnel and consumers still are actively being affected.

I feel the product is over priced as it is. Spurred by demand. Every body is jumping on the money bandwagon.

What are you going to sue for? Ford sent paperwork to the dealers, the dealers didn't read carefully nor did they give all the info to customers. Ford can claim wasn't their fault.

You are about 11 months late to this particular blame-Ford party.

If YOU think it is overpriced, for heaven's sake, why did you buy it? I love my 2023 Lariat Hybrid (with ACC, because I paid attention), and my 2024 Lariat Hybrid (also with ACC) for my wife is scheduled for a build next week. Two 40+ MPG loaded Lariat trucks for about $67k. That isn't overpriced in my book.

Your issue is over and done. Casting blame anywhere isn't going to make it better. Sell it if you regret buying it.

Yeah, good luck, man. Ford can and often does change things year over year. The order guide couldn't be more clear and as I, and others, have stated multiple times it was clearly communicated.

You can try suing your dealership if you really want to waste your time. Even if they put things in writing that aren't true, you aren't going to get any real relief. You could complain to the BBB and state AG about them, I suppose.

🤓 Another representation of miss deed by Ford Corporate. This is want I was seeing and hearing from others. Even Ford sales person in Port Charlotte who purchased a Maverick ended up re ordering and waiting two years for desired product.

I went through same exact experiences, although my expectations were high because packaged named co-pilot 360 and, of course, I was told I had an option I did not have.
Yes, I could have not accepted the one I ordered and ordered another with everything I wanted but than the price would have been higher and there’s no guarantee that the price match would be honored. But, I also didn’t expect to receive a price protection check for my 2023. so I’m very happy I didn’t allow those minor things to divert me from enjoying the truck I’ve waited for for over 450 days. Again, I do not regret my purchase.

ACC was never a part of the CP360 package, rather it was part of the Lariat Luxury Package for '22 MY (although that did prerequisite CP360). And then the Assist package items were separated out for '23.

🤓 The dealership is the child that is miss behaving. This instance and others. During our truck shopping our local dealership in Brandon, had service Maverick vehicles for sale with hundreds of miles for at new prices. New Mavericks $10,000 above MSRP.
Your local state, county, city, citizens are the ones who are controlling Fords ability to punish dealers. Dealers are misbehaving and Ford cannot directly punish them. Pass a local ordinance restricting dealers or require a 90% penality on any sale over MSRP, maybe even collect penalty on sales exceeding appraised retail value. Your local sales tax should be calculated to max out tax at MSRP value as they are joining in the practice of supporting abuse. Better yet do not collect sales tax on personal use vehicles, collect personal property tax annually based on residual value. Buyer having to finance sales tax for up to seven years for something used for 30 days, one year, or ? Is unjust and at the minimum should be rebated for any unused portion of a ten year period if vehicle is wrecked, traded in, or sold, or even if reregistered elsewhere! As it is now the sales tax collected on a vehicle could easily exceed 30% over its lifetime.

It is literally the salesperson's job to read every word of the stuff sent to them by Ford so they can know the product they are selling and communicate it to their customers.

Yes, some of the ordering and pricing guides can be tough to follow, but it was clear as day on Page 4 of the illustrated model year packaging guide/brochure. How much clearer could they have made it for the dealerships? It's already a picture book, but apparently it needs to be highlighted like this.

Totally disagree. Sorry. This issue is too common, widespread and ongoing. No accuse for it to not stop right now.

It is over. Long ago over.

You can not order a 2023 Lariat now, and have not been able to do so since 9/2022...OVER A YEAR AGO.

You are trying to beat a dead horse that Ford "fixed" by putting all of this in the 2024 Lariat orders so that neither dealers nor customers can screw it up again.

Of course, that brought out the whiners that they didn't want some of the now-included pieces that they were able to buy separately in 2022 and 2023, yet were somehow "forced" to do so.
