Looked at the Master Spreadsheet, did no see if anyone has been able to change the behavior settings. I'd prefer a "less aggressive" return to set speed, after getting out from behind a slower car. I'd rather not select the Far gap setting, as that seems to encourage others to fill the gap.

I did select distance to close but wife requested I put it back. Do not remember seeing option for 1 or 3 distance.
I like cruise return to set speed in slippery mode as it's not as aggressive. Implication is that return to set speed control may be in pid for Regen rate not in ACC (???).

'cept that I've got a 2.0EB. not a Hybrid.

Thanks though. HRG

In either case slippery mode should be less aggressive, if 2.0EB has it. I had a 2.0 Tremor but sold it since CarMax liked it better than my hybrid XLT lux. I only put 800 miles on it and don't remember much about it.

I'll give that a try, thanks!

Eco is more sedate on accelerating with cruise. Slippery still accelerates somewhat briskly, but is more conservative with slowing with ACC.

But to answer the aim of your question, no, FORScan can't modify the actual drive mode behaviors themselves.

Can Gap distance be changed outside of Forscan mode?

It's in vehicle menu settings somewhere I would have to go out and find it. If I remember correctly it was either near or far but could have been 1,2,3,or 4.

My 2025 Lariat with adaptive cruise control does not have buttons like shown in the included picture but I will try to find similar choices. Key may be the vehicle may have to running with cruise control pressed and active. I may have to sit in drive mode but not moving to allow me to spend time not having to pay attention to driving do that i can see choices to select different distances showing??

This is the button for adjusting the following distance, on the 25 models.

I can see the distance graphic change while parked when I press the car button in my Escape. I think can do same in my Maverick w ACC added. Even though Escape has the full digital display both respond the same to the steering wheel buttons.

Your picture did help. By having Mt View just showing but not pressing OK, on the left it did show 4 bar distances that I can change. Set it to 2 bars will help on the highway as 4 bars made the speed slow too early. Thanks for that info for my Maverick.

Are y'all implying we can change a setting in forscan to close the gap quicker? That would be very helpful. I generally set my vehicle to eco drive mode and try to take my time getting up to speed but would ACC (and other drivers) have got me driving well below my target speed.

Now if only we could do something to make the gap smaller that would not only prevent drivers from cutting in and lowering the ACC speed... but also send a message to the driver ahead to either speed up, move over, or better yet go back to their garbage state and stop polluting our lakes and mouth-breathing all our fresh air!

Now if there only was a button to get MI-plated vehicles from parking in the left lane,,,,,
