That is a horrific experience and first I've heard where there's all this bouncing around. It certainly does not seem normal. If you still want it, I'd first confirm it is there and tell them to take a picture of it or do a video call so you have a higher level of confidence. Alternatively, you should be checking around with other dealers since there is 2025s in dealer stock.

I am sooooo frustrated! This is my first experience with Ford and I'm about to cry!! My build for a 2025 Lariat was placed in October, built in February and shipped the same month. It was to be delivered within two weeks and was in the ground in the Kansas city railyard. Okay, so we are in the process of buying a retirement home here in Missouri but still live in Mississippi, so a 500 mile trek and vacation time to come get it. Get to here and said it will be another two weeks. Bummer. Have done this 5 times now and each time a new destination time. Find out it's been getting back on the train several times and shipped to various locations... furthest away has been nebraska. Now we are in Missouri again based on Ford Marketing and dealership that it will be here this week. Then, i get on the phone and they say it is back on the rail again and in Kansas somewhere and not to expect it until the first week of May!!! I am soooo sad that nobody can help me get my truck!! My 1st experience with buying a brand new vehicle. I ran a vin check on the internet and find it has been listed for sale in 7 different dealerships!!! Sorry for venting my frustration, but I have purchased so many cool accessories and have even given her a name. It's like waiting for a child i am adopting only to find out the child keeps going to other homes. I am wits end!!

So glad I was able to purchase my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid off the lot day after the original customer refused deliver - seems to be so much drama with special orders

my experience was so easy called a few dealerships to confirm their inventory - got a call back within an hour - drove to dealership - completed test drive - make the purchase- drove it home. Total time from start to finish 5 hours (including 1 hour drive to dealership each way)

We tried buying the 22 maverick hyrded
My wife ordered a 22 maverick Hybrid, after waiting 16mo, they wanted her to upgrade to 23, and raised the price by 4500 bucks. They told her straight to her face they didn't care, they would sell to someone else. Village Ford in Dearborn absolutely suck!.(. We bout a used 22, which i bought for the towing. We bought a 24 hybrid too. Briarwood Ford, Saline MI, took really took great care of us..

People remember this when it comes time to get something new.. I know I will. Ford dropped the ball on this one and should be ashamed..

While that is certainly a possibility, the OP has failed to show proof that the VIN# provided IS actually the vehicle they ordered, and this is not just a mis-read VIN#. For those of us who special ordered, we received status updates that showed the ordering/delivery dealer info, as well as the VIN# once issued. The OP is not responding to requests for this information, leading me to believe there may be more to this story, or possibly nothing more than an attempt to mis-lead this forum.

Update... well folks, while on the phone with the dealership last Friday to discuss the latest update ford texted to us that it will be another two weeks, the truck was unloaded from the delivery truck!!!! We were all shocked!! None of the accessories i ordered arrived with it, so I could not pick it up yet. But I did get to jump into my car and drive up to see it!! We had to wait until today to see if all would come in. Still waiting for the truck bed lighting, but all else did finally arrive and was installed. I told them I would bring it back when it arrived but I wanted to bring it home today... and i did!!!! My "Lady Blue Belle" is now at home and I'm having a blast dressing her up with all the goodies I bought for her!!!

Very Nice what's that Color Called? I Love my Desert Sand 2025 Maverick but mines an AWD with the 2.0 Eco Boost not a Hybrid.

Azure. Love that sand color too. Just about got that color because it looks so distinguished.

I like a story with a happy ending. So did they have to retrieve that truck from IA or was it a case of mistaken identity? Nice looking truck you have there! For all of the issues you had getting your truck I hope they took care of you to compensate for the situation.

Based on VIN# provided by OP she had a case of mistaken identity as the vehicle was built well after she claimed the saga began.

Yes, it seems pretty clear that something happened to the original order, and that the dealer traded for a similar truck at another dealership. (Or the originally ordered truck with a different VIN number than the one provided was finally delivered to the dealer??)

But at least it seems like the OP has a Maverick and is happy now!
