I have a 2024 Maverick Lariat Hybrid with only 850 miles. It doesn't have wireless Android Auto like the '25, so I added a AA Wireless 2 adapter via the center USB-A port in the cab. I left it plugged in continuously. https://www.aawireless.io/en/products/aawireless-two

About a week later, I kept getting Ford Pass disabled due to low battery. I drove it 50 miles on the highway, but that didn't reset it. Yesterday I removed the AA Wireless 2, then drove another 50 highway miles. So far, the Ford Pass is OK. According to the truck manual, the USB ports are not powered when the engine is off, after you open the door to exit the cab. Have any of you had parasitic drain issues with USB accessories like this?

Driving for long or on the highway does nothing special for the hybrids like it used to for your old ICE vehicles - don't waste your time & mileage. Actually, most new ICE vehicles behave the same way, reduced charge after initial startup and running.

Since your 12V battery is actually charged by the DC to DC converter - anytime you start it, it's charging.
But, it'll only do a decent charging Amps for maybe 5 min, so a bunch of short trips where you turn off and start again will actually work better.

Actually the power ports on a good enough battery will stay on for longer, if yours are disabled when you open the door (like mine) - you are already in Battery Saver mode, may not have noticed your cab lights turn off sooner too. So normally that would not be good.
And that would explain why you are informed the truck is also in Deep Sleep mode.
Or right now right above it, but bet the lights are still off quick.

There are expected micro-draws (alarm system, looking for key fob action, uploading data to Ford), several users have also experienced parasitic draws discovered and modules replaced.

And then we all deal with some poor quality batteries, and questionable charging strategy.

Now go search the forum and read away about it!

I have the same adapter as you for wireless Android Auto.
I leave mine plugged in 24/7 Never have an issue but again I have a EcoBoost. I also have ripped out fuse 11. I dont have sleep issues. Seems that the EcoBoosts are not prone to the 12v battery issues. I also have a 300Watt Rockford Fosgate amp pushing a 10" Sub.

I have a '22 ecoboost with a different (but I would think materially the same) AA wireless dongle and I leave it plugged in all the time without consequence. I use Fordpass.

The 2 USB ports in the lower center console stack (1 type A, 1 type C) do have some retained power but I am not sure of how long. When they're off, however long that is, they will also wake up when you open the door like the dome lights. However unlike the dome lights I know they stay on longer, I'm just not sure how long exactly. And that's because my phone will try to stay connected for a while if I open and then close the door. I very much doubt it's as long as the cigarette lighter plug stays hot, which is 80 minutes by default.

I'm not sure that I have a good suggestion for the OP since he has a hybrid and they have more/different 12V battery issues than ecoboost.

If it's a major issue I would probably try to get your dealership to replace the factory 12V battery with one of the new AGM batteries. I suspect that won't work, though. If not and again it's a major issue, I would probably buy an AGM battery out of pocket.

I have the AA Wireless2 in my AWD and haven't had any problems. I plug it into the USB C slot. It could be just a problem with the Hybrids.

Yes- Hybrid is a different animal. I will monitor performance without the AA dongle and have the dealer take a look if symptoms continue.

It's a Maverick issue that Ford is working on. A fix is on the way they said. Meantime, no dome lights and fordpass going to sleep is the norm. It's not your dongle. Trust me, I have the same dongle.

Update- I took it back to the dealer 2/10/25 and they apparently fixed it with a battery test, charge and BMS (Battery Monitoring System) Reset.
The service advisor blew me off until I had him check inaccurate sync3 deep sleep notifications (SSM 52307) and intermittent battery drain when ignition is off (SSM 53087)
We just finished a full week of frigid weather with temps remaining below freezing for the entire week, and the Ford Pass app remained fully functional, incl. remote start! He indicated that Ford is still expecting a SW fix for this 1Q25.
Note- I left my AA Wireless 2 adapter connected since the service, and it has worked as expected, so it was not the issue.

Detail from the service 2/10:
