Anyone else have this issue?

Running the latest update on AAWireless, and since the "updated" SiriusXM app got pushed to my phone,
I have to ask Google or manually start my music playing each time I get in the truck. Before the update
I could get in, let AAWireless do it's thing and whatever I was listening to on Sirius would start playing.

Is there a fix or just join the other people disappointed in the latest version of the SiriusXM app?

maybe uninstall it from the car and do reinstall so it recognizes new app more completely?

SXM pushed out an update to their app on 12/15. In my humble opinion, it's POS! A Google search found lots of similar opinions, so I think it's safe to say they blew it. Whoever redesigned it must have skipped the focus group phase.

It may not be the Sirius app. I don't use Sirius, I use Spotify. If I hop in the truck and put it in reverse before the music starts, it will not start android auto and it will instead start playing the radio.

However if I wait until the infotainment completely starts, I see the map in AA, and music starts playing, then I can shift into reverse. It's weird as hell but has always worked that way for me.

LAst night I got in the truck and music started playing on the station I left off on. This morning I asked to start it once again. Sirius got an update 3 days ago on my phone according to the Play Store. It's a dumb issue but annoying if thats how it will be now.

That new app is so bad, it's almost like they are purposely trying to make their customers angry. Thankfully I'm on Android so I was able to go back to the older version of the app. Hopefully they'll make some serious improvements that new app soon.
