Easy you two. Lets not bring facts into the equation here. That would ruin the narrative that F-150s and Mach-Es are pilling up on dealer lots and that the hybrid Mav is doomed!!!
Guess you don't look around much at the car lots. They sure are piling up around here. 🤣
Some regions have a 250 days supply of F150s. If that's not piling up.. what is it?

I don't think Ford will be taking orders for '24 Mavericks August.

Well one of two things will happen. 2024 Maverick production will sell out in 5-ish days or it won't. I'm really curious to see how that goes. I'm just watching the game from the sidelines, because I have my eco in the driveway. I'm curious to know if the extra factory shift makes the ecoboost an easily obtained commodity in CY 2024.

As for the hybrid, yea, it's no longer the "Let's steal an underpriced 40+ mpg truck from the idiots at Ford before they get a clue". But even with the price rises, if the hybrid issues are worked out, it's still kind of a bargain - maybe no longer a steal, but a bargain. If they had a betting line in Vegas, I'd put down real money that hybrid production sells out in a week or less.
I'm with you, I'm going to be watching. I'm thinking 2 years in now the reputation is out there that if you want a Mav, you're gonna wait a year for it. That's not hyperbole, but established fact now, well known. And you really have to be a certain specific type of buyer to be willing to do that. So.... gonna be interesting for sure. That and the increase on hybrids, what it'll do to the mix. Who's buying popcorn the week of the 17th?

F-150s have always in abundance on lots. They have a high MSRP so they can advertise them for thousands less to make people think they are getting a deal. With 2 plants and hundreds of thousands built each year they follow the stock model instead of the retail order.

So no one gets one in months 1-11? Your statement is hyperbole. People get them each month.

MachEs have around a 180 dayS supply. I know they build a lot of F150s. They still have to sell. Things look about pre-covid normal here, though the dealers want you to think vehicles are in short supply.
I would say the average consumer in my area isn't looking for a 70/80k pickup truck. And it doesn't matter who builds it.
Hopefully I can go back to purchasing below invoice in the next year or so.

I'm referring to reputation. There is no reputation for Ford out there that says order one and you'll get it in a couple months, even if that is indeed the reality for some. The reputation, word on Ford kind of thing is you're gonna wait a year. Literally every person I mention the Mav to says the same thing: "Oh, nice truck, but I hear you have to wait a year." Companies live and die by such reps, and again I'll be curious to see July 17 which one it is. Now that Fords raised the price closer to market value, also should be less folks ordering one to turn a quick profit. 17th will be interesting, for sure.

I think hybrid mav for 2024 will sell out in a few days. BUT the eco I can see they leave that open for a month of more, with the 65 35 split they went back too plus the added 40 K more total from third shift plenty of ecos to be had.

I submit most people haven't even heard of the Maverick yet. There is plenty of demand left.

Still think Ford's production, especially the Maverick Hybrid, is going to be limited with supply of parts, batteries, etc. The engine fire recall for Hybrids is waiting for parts all the way out to October, 2023, probably delaying new production. No doubt Hybrids were limited by battery and other parts availability. Most vehicle manufacturers are having supply issues.

Do think Ford had egg on their face taking Maverick orders that they could not fill. Causing a Public Relations nightmare that costs Ford future sales. Was also a costly nightmare for Ford Dealers.

I have ZERO regrets ordering my Maverick July 2021.

Of course they won't. The general public's awareness of the Hybrid & desire to own one has exploded over the past year or so, even with almost no advertising. It would not surprise me if Ford stops taking '24 Hybrid orders by the 20th or 21st of July.

The increases are kind of like Ford's way of saying "limit one Maverick per customer" :)
Yep. They convinced me not to order one for my wife. 23 price is good, 24 prices are just OK in my opinion.
