A good start to the week

I took a different route to work this morning. I went through a Whataburger to grab a quick breakfast. I saw another Maverick parking at the HEB. Didn't get to meet the driver, he had gone into the store before I got out of the drive thru. The guy at the window was asking questions about my truck. As I pulled out of the parking lot I saw a guy in a black Santa Cruz checking out my truck. His truck looked nice, but I still think I like my Maverick better. Then in about a block I saw a Sport Trac (which I really think of as the inspiration for the Mav.) Kinda cool way to start the week.

I've still yet to see a maverick in the flesh, and only just saw a Santa Cruz in person for the first time yesterday. It was white, which wouldn't be my first color choice, but otherwise looked pretty sharp

I've seen 3 or 4 Mav's in my area, including two at my work place.

I've actually seen more Mav's than SC's.

Saw a Mav at Best Buy yesterday. Didn't get to talk to them as they were on the phone. Younger couple. Best of luck to them.

Haven't seen a Maverick in the wild yet. Just the one I test drove at the dealership. However, as I keep an eye out for one, I see Sport Tracs all the time. I almost bought a used Sprort Trac in 2014. At the time I didn't like the the quad cab and short bed plus gas milage wasn't that great. I would still perfer a extended cab and longer bed but the Maverick will fullfill my current needs. I have ordered a hybrid so the gas milage will be a great improvement.

Yes, I wish we had HEB up here in the Pacific Northwest. And HyVee. And Meijer. And Publix. But we do have Fred Meyer (but it's not as good since being purchased by Kroger).

Lol... Kinda feels like chasing Big Foot. By the way... First one I saw in the wild I tried to take a picture of came out blurry... So yes, I'm going with Big Foot.

Pulled up next to a velocity blue in Austin today, me in my Alto Blue. We chatted (very)briefly at the stop light about how much we are loving the trucks.
