Ford Maverick A cheaper option to play video? 0063F4AC-7209-4F95-A471-BB62F900ABB4

I keep getting THIS In my Facebook ads. I love the idea but jot the price. Anybody know of an option that’s not almost $400?

I’m hoping there is an alternative that’s significantly cheaper then $400 but accomplishes the same thing

Just use one of those cubby holder deals people are crafting and stick an ipad to it. I don't think the crappy little screen they threw in the Mav would be any good for watching videos anyway.

Why would you want this for the Maverick? I'm just going to assume/hope you wouldn't be watching Netflix while driving. The Mavericks screen is only 8 inches and I imagine not the highest resolution or quality. You can pick up a tablet for a whole lot cheaper than $400 - that's your alternative

Just get an ipad or ipad mini. I have a mini that I am considering installing in the truck when I get mine.

I’ve had TVs in my car since I was 16. I watch TV everyday. I’ll add an iPad mini I think this go round instead of changing the stereo entirely.

Is there no way to code the radio to play back video?

No video in the front. The display is a bad enough with the maps app.

You can probably find used tablets of different varieties for a dime a dozen these days. That’ll be oodles better than a hacked up device to force video onto the infotainment screen, you can connect a tablet to usb/outlet power, and bluetooth for sound output to the truck stereo, use hotspot or phone tether, etc. Seems like that would be very simple.

Amazon - 10” 1080p refurbished 2019 fire tablet, $70. Viola! 8” 2020 version.. $55. Eureka!
