No connection to Apple car play

Had my truck since March, I noticed when plugging into the usb port, nothing, no charge… Trunk in shop today for recall, and few other things. Ask service dept to check power to port.. Well it never was fully wired ! They will order the part for me… Just a fyi to others.

My apple carplay works fine without being plugged in to usb port.i think some features may not work that have too have the phone plugged in.long as i can play apple 50, and 60,music i dont need anything else to work

If you don’t plug in your not using CarPlay, your just using Bluetooth.
