All I said is I heard a story about an old man who was struggling and suffering to get through life, and said I hoped he had something in life to make it all worth it. The person was talking about how he knew an old guy who was living out of a mobile home, who didn't have a ton of money, and was struggling to get by in this crazy world. To which I basically said, that's hard to go through that, I hope he has things in life that bring him joy to make life worth living.

Amplified by the fact that I was literally in the middle of watching my grandma die, and I frequent retirement homes, so I knew all too well how hard it can be, both physically, and emotionally, as someone ages.

If I misunderstood your meaning I apologize. I had a immediate family member end her life. To say it had a negative effect on the remaining family would be a great understatement. It left me feeling that I could never put my family through the same thing. Not judging someone else’s situation.

The buck has been field dressed. It’s the first step taken after they are brought down. Totally normal, all the internal organs are removed at this point. Some hunters continue on and skin and quarter before putting in their ice chest. Others transport them just like you see in this post. I would wager he was not gut shot.
