Impressed with the hybrid Maverick towing!

Picked up my new 2025 Jayco Jay flight slx 170bh trailer. The dealer set me up with a 2 inch raised ball. We tried a 4 inch first but the tailgate would hit it. Trailer weight is 3050lbs. Hitch weight is just over 300lbs. My Maverick pulled it without issue! I was surprised how well the hybrid pulled it. It still had plenty of pep off the line. It was fun pulling the trailer! Only issue is not being able to see well around the sides.

Yeah the Mav is my first vehicle that doesn't squat when you simply add 100-200 lbs in the rear. I've installed "air bags" / coil spring helpers in all our other vehicles to stop the sag. Not expensive, but usually a PITA to do.

Check into a camera (rear view and backup) being attached to rear as wireless or the Jayco being prepared. We have one primarily when towing.
Have you tried the hands-free backup with the trailer?

Check into a camera (rear view and backup) being attached to rear as wireless or the Jayco being prepared. We have one primarily when towing.
Have you tried the hands-free backup with the trailer?

I have an XLT so no hands free backup. To be honest yesterday was my first time every towing and I had no issues attaching it to the ball or backing it into my driveway.

It is! They even have another version (same floor plan) with aluminum studs and azdel walls that weighs even 200lbs less then mine but cost more.
