The 2026 Ford Maverick receives minor equipment updates and new paint colors, and it doesn’t cost significantly more than before.

2026 Maverick buyers will have two new paint colors to choose from — Orange Fury Metallic and Marsh Gray. The former was previously available on the Mustang, and the latter on the Bronco.

Ford is bringing back the front-wheel-drive, 2.0-liter EcoBoost drivetrain for the XL and XLT trim levels. It lowers the base price by $1000 compared to the front-wheel-drive, 2.5-liter hybrid system that comes standard. Buyers who stick with the hybrid drivetrain can order all-wheel-drive as a no-cost option, which suggests that front-wheel-drive sales will peter out.

Ford tells us it kept costs in check by offering a realigned power-sliding rear window as an option on the XLT, Lobo, Lariat, and Tremor trim levels. And, a conventional spare tire is available as a standalone option. Finally, the 2026 Maverick comes standard with a one-year subscription to the Ford Connectivity Package, which includes conveniences like integrated Google Maps and voice assistant (either Google Assitant or Alexa) and a wifi hotspot for up to 10 devices, plus luxuries like in-car gaming and streaming (via Max and Prime Video)—when parked, of course.

On sale now across the nation, the 2026 Ford Maverick starts at $28,840 including a $1695 destination charge. That figure corresponds to the front-wheel-drive XL EcoBoost model, and note that Ford increased the destination charge by $100 from 2025 to 2026. Pricing for the full range is as follows.

2026 Maverick XL EcoBoost FWD: $28,840 (new for 2026)
2026 Maverick XL Hybrid FWD: $29,840 (no increase over 2025)
2026 Maverick XL EcoBoost AWD: $29,840 ($125 more than in 2025)
2026 Maverick XLT EcoBoost FWD: $31,340 (new for 2026)
2026 Maverick XL Hybrid AWD: $32,060 (no increase over 2025)
2026 Maverick XLT Hybrid FWD: $32,340 (no increase over 2025)
2026 Maverick XLT EcoBoost AWD: $32,340 ($125 more than in 2025)
2026 Maverick XLT Hybrid AWD: $34,560 (no increase over 2025)
2026 Maverick Lariat EcoBoost AWD: $37,565 ($920 more than in 2025)
2026 Maverick Lobo 402A: $37,625 (no increase over 2025)
2026 Maverick Lariat Hybrid AWD: $39,785 ($350 more than in 2025)
2026 Maverick Tremor: $42,340 ($350 more than in 2025)
2026 Maverick Lobo 702A: $43,120 (no increase over 2025)

The final update should make it easier to find a new 2026 Ford Maverick. The company says that it cleared up additional production capacity for popular configurations like the XL, Lariat, and Hybrid AWD variants.

I've seen the Orange Fury from another post a little while ago. That color looks amazing! It's more of a pure orange rather than the orange that "Cyber Orange" claimed to be. It was nicknamed School Bus Yellow for a reason.

It's good they're also bringing back a FWD configuration for the Ecoboost. This way, if someone wants better fuel economy and lives in an area where you don't need AWD, this will more than suffice.

I just hope the pricing doesn't get out of control again. Since it's a carryover model year, I'm hoping that the pricing either stays the same or if it does go up, it's very subtle, like $200 or something. Not a wacky $600 or even $2000!

I'm so jealous of the Orange Fury, really like that color. My wife would kill me if I traded the Mav.

Orange Fury is a nice option to have, but I'm not a huge fan of Marsh Gray.

marsh grey- looks like mud to me- good for off-road trucks. $27k to buy a Maverick seems reasonable. No major changes were expected- maybe next year we can get crank windows and
and no radio like the Slate- that will be at least $27K without paint! Can't wait to see how they do in the sun

Making the rear window an option is odd but not a big deal, curious to see what else they removed to keep the price flat. Kind of disappointed that Adaptive cruise control is not a option yet for non lariats. I'm looking to get rid of my Ecoboost for a hybrid.

I actually like the Marsh grey better than bright orange but probably wouldn't get either on a non tremor version.

I find it absolutely hilarious and maddening that it seems like ford purposely spites me with option-ability.

I wanted Eruption Green so bad, then when they add the color they drop the only drivetrain i want, the front drive. Now they add back the front drive but they drop Eruption green. Its almost like someone at Ford deliberately has been trying to piss me off for actual years. Its like with the Bronco, how the base two door and manual combo wasnt available together for like 3 and a half years. Its available again but now its $9k more and im just priced out of it.

I literally cant believe they dropped front drive for the ONE SINGLE YEAR they offered the color I desperately wanted.

I wonder if the Lobo has more or different colors. The 4 colors for MY25 were pretty underwhelming.

These price increases have enabled Totota to compete in this segment.

The 2025 Toyota Tacoma is currently on sale, and at the time of writing, the base price was $33,185 for the SR XtraCab 2WD model with the six-foot bed. Opting for the Double Cab adds about $2,000, and 4WD adds $3,200. It’s worth noting that, although the manual transmission is a zero-cost option, you can only get it with 4WD Double Cab models, for which the base price is $38,585. Trims with the hybrid powertrain option, you’ll add about $5,000 to the bottom line. Top-tier pricing for the TRD Pro is $65,330. Though there aren’t any notable appearance packages, the Tacoma has a ton of factory accessory options for bed storage, towing, grille lettering, roof racks, camping, and everything in between with prices ranging from $20 for a boot brush to $5,342 for an All-Pro Tailgate package.
