The 2026 Ford Maverick receives minor equipment updates and new paint colors, and it doesn’t cost significantly more than before.
2026 Maverick buyers will have two new paint colors to choose from — Orange Fury Metallic and Marsh Gray. The former was previously available on the Mustang, and the latter on the Bronco.
Ford is bringing back the front-wheel-drive, 2.0-liter EcoBoost drivetrain for the XL and XLT trim levels. It lowers the base price by $1000 compared to the front-wheel-drive, 2.5-liter hybrid system that comes standard. Buyers who stick with the hybrid drivetrain can order all-wheel-drive as a no-cost option, which suggests that front-wheel-drive sales will peter out.
Ford tells us it kept costs in check by offering a realigned power-sliding rear window as an option on the XLT, Lobo, Lariat, and Tremor trim levels. And, a conventional spare tire is available as a standalone option. Finally, the 2026 Maverick comes standard with a one-year subscription to the Ford Connectivity Package, which includes conveniences like integrated Google Maps and voice assistant (either Google Assitant or Alexa) and a wifi hotspot for up to 10 devices, plus luxuries like in-car gaming and streaming (via Max and Prime Video)—when parked, of course.
On sale now across the nation, the 2026 Ford Maverick starts at $28,840 including a $1695 destination charge. That figure corresponds to the front-wheel-drive XL EcoBoost model, and note that Ford increased the destination charge by $100 from 2025 to 2026. Pricing for the full range is as follows.
2026 Maverick XL EcoBoost FWD: $28,840 (new for 2026)
2026 Maverick XL Hybrid FWD: $29,840 (no increase over 2025)
2026 Maverick XL EcoBoost AWD: $29,840 ($125 more than in 2025)
2026 Maverick XLT EcoBoost FWD: $31,340 (new for 2026)
2026 Maverick XL Hybrid AWD: $32,060 (no increase over 2025)
2026 Maverick XLT Hybrid FWD: $32,340 (no increase over 2025)
2026 Maverick XLT EcoBoost AWD: $32,340 ($125 more than in 2025)
2026 Maverick XLT Hybrid AWD: $34,560 (no increase over 2025)
2026 Maverick Lariat EcoBoost AWD: $37,565 ($920 more than in 2025)
2026 Maverick Lobo 402A: $37,625 (no increase over 2025)
2026 Maverick Lariat Hybrid AWD: $39,785 ($350 more than in 2025)
2026 Maverick Tremor: $42,340 ($350 more than in 2025)
2026 Maverick Lobo 702A: $43,120 (no increase over 2025)
The final update should make it easier to find a new 2026 Ford Maverick. The company says that it cleared up additional production capacity for popular configurations like the XL, Lariat, and Hybrid AWD variants.
