2023 Maverick New Colors: Atlas Blue, Avalanche Gray

Well that sucks. Atlas blue is not a proper blue. Its not as bad as anti-matter, but it still isnt pretty. I may have to switch to HPR or schoolbus yellow. Everything else is pretty much just the background colors of this and every other website.

The question is, to which gods do I pray? Velocity blue 2022 or Ugly Tremor 2023?

Removed from MY23: Velocity Blue

Added to MY23: Avalanche Grey, Atlas Blue Metallic

It sucks big time that Velocity Blue was removed but Eruption Green was not added.

I love my Velocity Blue Maverick and a lot of others have stated they also love the color.

I am ordering a MY23 because I need the missing hitch and Carvana is offering me $8500+ over my total out-the-door cost. Maybe Carvana's offer will even go up now that a Velocity Blue Maverick is no longer available.

My two choices is to go with either Hot Pepper Red even though it will cost more as it matches my previous 1998 Ford Ranger that was Toreador Red Clearcoat Metallic or switch to Atlas Blue Metallic as it looks to be just a slightly darker version of Velocity Blue.

All the other colors are too dark or bland and no I am not going to choose School Bus Yellow.

Having experienced tri-coats in the past, I wanted a tri-coat paint job. Nothing beats the depth and durability of it. It just so happens that the only tri-coat for this car is the Cyber Orange. But it is very orange in some lights and yellowish in others. Fine by me.

@fordvideoguy Is the silver different at all? Metallic looks new. I thought '22 was just iconic silver? '23 is iconic silver metallic.

I have never seen one in person. Is it just the name change or is the '23 going to be sparkly silver?

Based on nothing more than a few internet pictures, I'm all excited about Atlas blue and think I'll change my order from Alto blue. I can't understand why we needed one more shade of gray at the expense of red or green though.

What I'm really interested to see are the MY23 interior colors.

How is it as you state not a proper blue?
