A thought just occurred to me while driving to the cabin thins weekend, and seeing a lot of big, 5th wheel trailers being pulled behind enormous trucks. Has any company come out with a pint-sized 5th wheel camper for the Maverick yet? It would be cool to see what they could come up with...

Maybe sheet metal screws into the roof. Might have to get a tubby antenna.

Anything is possible I guess. They used to build RV’s on the chassis of small pickups (tiny pickups) years ago. It could be a pop up style unit maybe or something of that nature. If the Maverick retains it’s popularity I’m sure some creative genius will come up with one.

I guess more properly I should say a "gooseneck" trailer instead of a true 5th wheel. Of course, a 5th wheel from a semi would overload the poor truck from the git go. A modified type of hitch mounted in the truck bed to attach a gooseneck type of trailer would be possible I'm sure though, if it has not been done already.

If anyone carries through on this idea now, remember where you heard it first. I want my cut of the action :LOL:

I guess something could be made but with only a 4 foot box you don’t have much turning radius plus tough weight is 4000 pounds not sure about in box

Scamp makes a small 5th wheel
https://www.scamptrailers.com/showroom/19-trailers

Info from some other random site, since I couldn't find specs on the Scamp site:
"For example, the gross weight of the Scamp 19 is 3,500 pounds with a pin weight of just 400 pounds. The trailer is approximately 2,000 pounds dry"

Unfortunately, yes. It’s called a truck bed. 😂
