thanks! I bought my house in 2016 and the garage had a cracked slab, but the house was professionally fixed, had like piers put into house, and French drains, and even paid for neighbors draining away from my house to prevent settling. ive been here 8 years and no issues. but because the garage floor was cracked, noway in hell was I repouring concrete, otherwise I would of done epoxy myself. - I did do epoxy though in corner of garage which I really enjoy.

its called race deck, I paid like $1000 bucks back then, shipped/etc. it looks 95% perfect, few little small scratches and such. I put a black tile on ground for a sacrificial tile for kickstand now for motorcycle. instead of constantly parking it on new tiles.

here are some old photos when I got the garage!. I insulted the entire house to r60, and insulated the walls, and garage, it stays warm in winter, cold in summer. I love it! and I dont have bugs or anything either. its really nice, because its insulated I can jam my Sonos five speaker with zero complaints.

also you can see my DIY epoxy in corner, I really like it. I wish I could have done entire garage this, but hey whatever. if you do get race deck, do what I did and put a heavy duty 2x layer of landscape fabric people complain about clacking/noise walking but zero issues for me.

sorry for so many photos! but I really enjoyed doing this when I moved in, it was like a new room in house, its my mancave. I just leaf blow it out periodically takes 1 minute, and I mop a few times a year. I dont park in garage fi my car is covered in wet mud or snow/salt.

idk why, but even today im still moving stuff around/I find fun in this I guess. not sure why.
Very nice. I’m a Gladiator fan myself. Thanks for the tips. I’ve had epoxy at my prior home. Live in a townhome now and the garage floor has really old oil stains so I’m not sure I can get the epoxy to stick properly. So I’ve been considering tile like yours.

this was before, years of inflation, I cannot comment how prices are now. but I did buy mine around Black Friday pricing on that year, and my tile finish is called "tuff shield" and its very tuff, just be aware, you cant weld on it, or going and dragging trans/engines etc on it. it will scratch it. but for a non mechanic garage, its perfect. some people like to get a square piece of wood or something to put under jack stands feet, because some cars are super heavy, I have like one or two little wheel spots from jacking my mustang up a lot, but in general is fine. - I just jack my car up on concrete outside lol. all liquids/oil etc, wipe right up. no stains or anything. if you are questioning if you will spill gallons of oil on floor, put a plastic sheet or something, because theoretically I guess it could seep into the tile breaks. but you can pop them apart easily enough. I move tiles around over the years when I want to move motorcycle parking spot other spots and such.

they have a stainless steel tile, but its higher than other ones, so I dont use it personally. got it on attic. didnt like it was slightly higher than other ones.

if you call them, ask for garage journal member pricing. it'll be better than their advertised pricing. just fyi

I don’t want the Maverick to grow at all. It’s current size is a key component of what makes it perfect for me.
This. Bigger isn't always better. I love having 75% of the utility of a big truck AND the convenience and economy of a small car.

because it wouldn’t fit in my garage without multiple trips outside the vehicle to ensure proper clearance.
This is why many people position once, and hang a tennis ball just barely in contact with the ceiling.

I'll be doing this when my '72 Eldorado is moving under its own power again. I have fin trails in my door from not doing this . . .

err, I hope that's a stuffed one from that video game.

Live ones bounce around to much. Worse, they defecate on the hood as they do so!

I bought this back in 2010, had it in my Subaru 98 Outback wagon. Loved that thing, manual and fun. Had it on my dash and over bumps it made the angry bird noise.

no longer does it, but I still kept it, now it’s my parking hall.

I have the hanging ball too. My garage + work bench only gives me 9ā€ of total clearance for front and back. That amount of clearance is fine to pull in, shut off, get out and walk away. One and done. But, if the Maverick was 6ā€ longer, as suggested in the previous post that I was replying to, I would only have 1.5ā€ of clearance in the front and 1.5ā€ in the back. Any minor deviation, like driving in at a slight angle, and you could put a headlight into the work bench before the windshield ever reached the ball. Likewise, the rear bumper on the opposite side would collide with the door, as it came down. Those tight clearances would force you to do multiple checks. That would be fine, say when you’re going on vacation and want to keep your car out of the elements for weeks, but it would not be ok for daily use.

Nah, I am also in the 4A (or AWD) club and they are absolutely correct that 4A is only available in ranger raptor.

It’s also not available in lower level f150s (STX, XL, and XLT) so for someone who wants 4A you are pushed into a higher trim version of F series trucks.
Little hijack here. Did you look at the Colorado at all?
Just found out they have 4A. I don't care much for the looks, but I've always been a function over form type.

Only a few more K than a Mav, but 10k less than an RR. Might go look at one this weekend.

I had a 2023 Trail Boss on order and one of the first delivered in Ohio but my wife wouldn't let me do it for $44,600 (no discounts at the time). The interior was cramped compared to the Maverick and if people think the interior on a loaded Mav Lariat at $40k is bad, I know they've never sat in a $45k Colorado...

I think the Maverick lariat interior is nice. And I’ve owned Audi, Porsche, BMW and Range Rover. Sure, it is not stitched leather, but it is still quite nice. You have to be pushing upper levels of brand-snob to think that the lariat is bad.

I actually have a couple of feet between my '72 Eldorado and the workbench!

Still an effort to go by, as I have to remember to duck, as the hood has been hanging from the ceiling ever since the hinges failed--and that's one big, heavy hood. [I've been told that the 71/72 Eldorado hood was the longest Cadillac ever shipped, but haven't confirmed that. It actually uses a double hinge, as it has to rise a few inches before starting to tilt upwards, so as to not break the windshield. It's also a couple of hundred pounds, I think.]

I just looked up my 2022 price (not including licensing and delivery) - 28,466.50. I built a 2025 XLT FX4 4K with the same features I have - or as close as I could get - and it was over $36,000.

After three years owning the truck I honestly feel like the original price was correct. This is not a $36K or $40K truck.
