I was reading some posts on here about the limitations of the 400W inverter in the bed which got me thinking about the ways I could use the bed receptacle in real life. Two things that i'd like to do with my truck when it arrives are using it for tailgating and camping, both of which involve food. I recently saw a Traeger Ranger at Costco. Upon looking into its power usage it seems it runs at 280-300 watts on start up and no more than 400W. Traeger even sells a 400W inverter to use with this product so its seems ok to use in the back of the Maverick. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I think you need to have engine on while using it which stinks having that exhaust there while cooking. Nice grill, i want one now.

If you want a setup like this for camping, you will want to look at a dual battery setup. Check the Overlanding forums and youtube for info on the best way to do this. The last thing you want is a dead battery while your camping. Or to have exhaust gas in your campsite.

As a backup one can get a Costco Lithium jump box. One I have was $50.
