40% Markup?

I drive by there once a week or so. I was shocked when I looked up the price when I saw it there.

They also have a BUNCH of Broncos on the lot. I didn’t look up the prices on them, but I’m guessing the reason they have more than anyone else is that they’re overcharging on those also.

You are right, that is a 40% markup compared to the window. ridiculous.

Tuscaloosa Toyota in Alabama has a 2021 used Bronco(full size) Badlands trade in for sale. MSRP is less than 35k. They are asking 62k. Near ONE HUNDRED PERCENT MARKUP....I pointed that out to the sales rep and he said I was wrong they are not that bad. Then I showed him. I got a shrug and a guess your right.....

I was in my local Ford dealer in Athens Al. today. Just to keep in touch. Ask her about any Mavericks coming in just so I can actually see and touch one. They have one coming in a couple of weeks. She will call me so I can see it in person. They had a new Bronco on the floor. 20 grand over sticker. Now that’s a markup

I was browsing on the Ford site for any local inventory and came across this one about 60 miles from me. Isn't this a 40% markup vs MSRP?

I do have an order for an XLT Hybrid that was placed 8/19, but nothing yet from Ford.

Good, let them dealerships die off. Hire the salesperson at salary for test drives and viewing, delivery of your vehicle. They’re unnecessary at this point anyway. I’d rather buy it straight from Ford and bypass the dealer stupidity anyway.

While another and potentially better sales models for vehicles in the US may exist I am not debating. It is all conjecture.

But to actively wish a business dies off, meaning the employees lose out, just strikes me as kind of odd. And if you understand anything about sales, paying a salary without incentives gets you consumate quality. (Not that I believe car sales people are held in esteem.)

I thought I remembered a fully loaded mav making it to 40k+ msrp but I guess not, just tried to config one as close to this as possible and came to 37 so I guess that's right lol. My bad.

That was from a couple of early youtube/article reviews where people were going in and selecting every. single. add-on. Nobody does this, it was ridiculous. Nobody clicks literally every add-on box when ordering something. When talking about a loaded vehicle, this means top trim + all factory add-ons - other accessories, while able to be added to a build, should not be considered when quoting a vehicle's top pricing!

Ive been waiting till one day i walk in the dealer los angeles have one in showroom, MSRP was 30K awd Lux Xlt dealer suggested with little extra addons was at 38k negotiated at 33 out the door. But it took 2 hours and i went home till they called me back and closed the deal/ did i do okay no gap or extra stuff. 33k out suggested 38.
