You have a product that has more demand then supply and people are upset that it's being marked up. No one complains when dealers discount vehicles when there is more supply than demand.
except for Ford Corporate and accountants that is :ROFLMAO:

Looks like time for petitioning local govt to remove monopolistic laws that prevent multiple dealers in a certain area. The excuse that "we need to do that because we need to protect buyers from not having branded service shops" is poopoo. You could buy an after market extended warranty serviceable by any national repair chain including Ford dealers. Yes I would order online a vehicle from any approved Ford dealer whose delivered price to my front door was 40% less than my local dealer. What would happen to that dealer if he had another dealer across the street and a for sale sign across the intersection that said "six acres zoned for dealership with 10year tax abatement.
It's probably not a law but part of the franchising agreement between Ford and the dealer. No dealer will pay Ford for the right to sell their cars if Ford allows someone else to open up shop across the street. IIRC this is common in franchising agreements.

Honestly, the best thing that can be done is to let the dealer get a bad rep and either go out of business or be forced to change their ways out of sheer lack of revenue. Again, nobody is forcing anyone to pay those inflated prices. If one dealer marks things up too high you are free to find another dealer. It might be inconvenient but at least you have a choice. What if it was ford setting the prices and every dealer had to offer the same high prices?

You vote with your wallet . Dealers apparently are independent and charge what they want, and customers also are independent and can spend what they want. If I walk into a dealer and they are price gouging I walk right out. That same dealer would get no service income from me either how could you trust them? It is a free country:) so far anyway..:)

Anyone complaining about this pricing OBVIOUSLY didn't look at the window sticker. They're throwing in a free front license plate bracket for Christ's sake.
YOU THINK THOSE COME CHEAP?!?!?!?!?
