I actually already posted 2 but I remembered what #3 is so I'm finishing the list of things I "hate" (such a strong term)

1. No rear defrost
2. Brake service mode INOP

and the one I just remembered is:

3. No front parking sensors.

Actually, I think it's a bit cheap of them to put a 6x9 instead of an 8" sub in the B&O system too. Escapes have the 8" sub ffs... Same price range etc etc.

The physical key is to unlock the door if the battery dies.
Huh, I did know the dead FOB has the key to open the door, but I didn't know that I'd still need the FOB with the dead battery to start the engine. The key in itself won't start the engine. If the Maverick is like the Explorer, the FOB goes into the center console to enable the push button start. It's good to know, just in case the battery on the FOB dies unexpectedly...

1. Every fucking Maverick ive owned (im on #3 at this point) has a rattle in the passenger door panel.

2. No ACC/lane centering option on lower trim packages

3. The radio screen is low contrast/quality.
What low cost car has #2. If they gave you everything the higher trim cars have in the base models they wouldn't be cheap anymore. Ford gave in to the XL and made it semi-luxury when they added cruise control. Next you'll want the XL to have power windows. ... It already has them, then it's just like a Mercedes.

Things I don't like:

1. Can't touch the interior or exterior plastic trim without getting it permanentely scratched or scuffed. Very soft platic all over the truck.

2. The paint is weak/thin.

3. The B & O sound system. It is just a bit better than the stock radio. I am not impressed at all.

Things I like:

1. The maverick just looks awesome. I love having a car/truck that is very unique in style and utility. Get many compliments.

2. My lariat drives great, no road noise, and feels solid.

3. The interior is comfortable and spacious.

Hate is a strong word. There is a lot I really like about this little truck and I only had it a short time. Every vehicle has some quirks though. I don’t care for switchblade keys as they tend to open in my pocket. This one isn’t as bad as others I’ve seen. If I can take it apart and put a heavier spring in for the button push, it would be even better. I would prefer a little better approach angle. The roughest roads I go on are logging roads for hunting and I’ll have to watch out for any deeper ruts but most of the time they are just muddy dirt roads. Not nearly bad enough to “hate” though.

I've numerous posts of dislikes. Majority could be remedied by buying a $50,000.00 vehicle. My Lariat Lux Hybrid went OTD at 31K. All good.
Only complaint I had is really dislike huge key fob about the size of half a deck of cards. Push button lol, it saves money. No mechanical tumblers to install.
My favorite thing is after doing some reading I can lock the fob in the vehicle. Didn't know that. The number pad is my savior. Fob has not been out of vehicle for a week or so. No more carrying that big ole clunky thing around.

Did t want leather seats. Also the price for these 3 things would probably be $300 if that.
Does have cruise and lane keeping . Don’t get me wrong love the truck!

Mine was the passenger door window switch rattling in its housing. Drove me crazy for weeks until I finally found it. Wrapped it with sound deadener and it's totally quiet now. It's more holding it still than it is deadening the rattle, but it's fixed. Hope this helps.

I can remember Chryslers built in the early 1960’s had push button start and push button automatic transmission selector buttons.
1962 Imperial, my first car!

Buys cheap affordable truck.
Complains about cheap affordable truck.
Wants cheap affordable truck bigger.
Wants cheap affordable truck lifted for off road.
Wants cheap affordable truck to have 75k dollar truck options at a cheap affordable price.
I'm almost through my skull from all this scratching of head.

My daughter doesn't need adjustable mirrors so the XL is perfect first rig for her.

My 2018 Camry SE had ACC and the lane centering stuff (love the former, hate the latter and always left it turned off). That was a $23,500 vehicle. I think they are like $28,000 now. It also had the fake leather seats and a Sirius capable stereo that are only available on the Lariat. It also got close to hybrid mpg without being a hybrid. I gave the car to my daughter and she loves it because she says it never needs gas. I wish Toyota would hurry up and make a serious Maverick competitor. I love my Maverick, but some of the options or lack thereof are baffling.

You know, the only thing I "hate" is inetrior related:

1. Shorter center console instead of the same longer one from the Escapes.
2. Start button location (but you get used to it)
3. Start button illumination (Even during remote start the button is not illuminated until you press it)

4. The dashboard illumination button locations.

Hate might be a strong word - but the start button not being illuminated feels like an oversight. The dashboard illumination buttons are in a very unsafe location. If you were driving at day then night and wanted to dim just a tad you have to take your eyes off the road to find them on the left side.

Things for improvement maybe? Not sure about hate...
