2x6 Bed Divider for the Flexbed

2x6 at 54 1/4. It fits, I just think I want a taller one. Maybe 2x10? Might just stack a 2x4 over it. Don't know yet. Anyways, just sharing in case anyone wanted to see the 2x6 specifically. Going to paint whatever I use a matte black or maybe some type of bed liner spray if I can find some.

"RAPTOR LINER" by UPOL is a great DIY bed liner. I have used it several times and it is probably what I'll use when I make dividers for my Maverick when it comes in.

None of the positions match in length. No idea why, especially since two of them are so close.

Seriously, the fact that the red and green dots in this picture are not the same length is such an unforced error.

As you can see, it is a tight fit, but the board will come out. I am going to shave it down. Also that is just plain black stain.

I ripped 1/2 inch off of the board. It opened enough room for me to take it in and out without hitting the tonneau rails. Since it floats a little it is still almost 9 1/2 inch high.

I'm going to assume if you're wanting to place your lumber like this, you'll need the 55" cut. The above pic is using the same 2x6 I had in the original images. It's too short to be secure in this configuration.

What if you cut a swimming pool noodle to put on both ends? It will compress to the size and prevent scratches.

Sure, that would work. Anything that adds a little length will help it fit. I was just letting the person who asked me about the 2x6 being able to function in multiple spots in the Flexbed know that without any additions, it does not. Just some interesting design choice by Ford with the insert lengths.
