That was my whole rationale to the dealer as well. I get a deal, you get a deal.
They should make (at least some) money on my new order, and some on my trade (especially since they listed it for nearly $5k over what I traded it in for. I probably could have gotten more, but oh well, we both got...
I should have explored my options more probably.
I went to Carmax just to use them as a bargaining chip, and they offered me $28k flat.
I had a whole excel sheet calculating values to determine my bottom dollar. Everything I was seeing showed me that it would only make sense if it were a trade...
Oh for sure.
When I visited family in TN where the speed limits were much lower on the country roads I averaged well over 30.
I just so happen to live in the right suburb of Austin that the slowest speed limit on a highway near me is 75.
But you COULD care less. You could care so much less that you choose not to comment. You are making yourself angry, bud.
Also, I have not whined yet, and this post could be helpful for people who have the same question. I was merely looking to see if anyone else had taken advantage of this...
I only traded it because the market was such that I could get a new one at zero cost or even making money. That does include the equity I already have in the truck. I wouldn't have done it if I was going to lose even a penny.
However, I did not like the orange accents of the XLT and the Dark...
That spring load will still be there if there is a gap no matter what medium I use to adhere it unless it displaces it enough that the plastic material will then add a compressive load as it tries to go back to normal or, is just thick enough that it takes up the distance as is, which is what...
UPDATE:
Purchased the truck for just over $28K MSRP. My 23MY was $33K MSRP. Trade-in was $29K (even though they initially came out with a $23K offer. Having the ability to walk away gives you a lot of bargaining power it seems.
Got the tax credit, and made money on the deal like I was hoping...
I was going to call the dealer about this becasue I noticed it on mine at delivery. Looks like it is an issue we will have to solve ourselves. My first thought would be to use 3m double sided tape to hold it down like other add-on car parts do.
I am expecting a pretty good deal on the trade in. Looking at KBB and what not shows that I have the potential to get what I paid for the truck as the trade in value. WILD, I know.
I was wondering if anyone else has upgraded to the new model year from their first Maverick and if you did, was...
Hello everyone! 2022 Maverick xlt owner here who just got a build date for my 2023 Maverick Blackout Edition!
While I was looking over the order online it says I have the hard drop-in bedliner. I did not ask for this, but I am not mad about it being added. My plans were to get the truck...
When you say center console, do you mean the ones up near the front of the dash under the radio where the phone tray is, or do you mean the center console where the arm rest is and the possible USB for the rear seat?
