Just got back from a 2 week round trip through Yellowstone and Grand Teton from Kamloops, BC.
: 2022 XLT EB 4K
: 2017 Prolite Escapade, 2500-2700lbs loaded
: Recorded Mileage: 19.5mpg/12.0l/100km, hand calculated to 19.3/12.2
Observations on route:
Fuel: 91/92
Miles driven without trailer: 263
Animals killed : 2 squirrels
Weather Encountered: Sun, Rain, Snow, Hail, High Wind
Alcohol Consumption: Excessive
Unsolicited Political Opinions: Multiple
Grizzly Bears Walking Past Our Camper At Night: 2
Awesome People Met Along The Way: Almost Everyone
Maverick Performed: 9.5/10
Notes:
A fantastic 20th Wedding Anniversary trip to Yellowstone/ Grand Teton which we visited on our Honeymoon.
The Mav was an excellent steed taking everything we threw at it with ease. A couple of 10% climbs at 8000ft put it to the test but it was never short on power or braking.
Fuel Mileage was on par with previous towing journeys but was noticeably increased above 65mph, most of the northerly drive through Eastern Washington was into a headwind.
