Has anyone seen or had this done? I called today to get my Turn Signal Outage recall scheduled, and he said this other one (23P18) popped up for my vin but i may not have been contacted yet about it. I cant even find anything about it anywhere. Has anyone else seen or heard of this?

Doesn’t say much other than a software update.
The linked NHTSA copy of the Ford memo indicates it's a Customer Satisfaction Program:

Certain 2023 Model Year Maverick Vehicles Equipped with a 2.5L Duratec – Hybrid Engine Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Reprogramming

AFFECTED VEHICLES
Maverick 2023 Hermosillo April 11, 2023 through August 23, 2023
US population of affected vehicles: 18,063.

REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM
In the affected vehicles, Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P2282 – Air Leak Between Throttle Body and Intake Valves may be inadvertently set, potentially causing the check engine light to illuminate during normal driving conditions while the vehicle is in motion.
They aren't mailing letters for it so will just apply the update if yours has the code pop up.

I had the same experience calling for an appointment for the "Turn signal lamp failure". They want it for a day and a half to do the updates.

I was too shocked finding out about the 2nd update to ask for a recall #. Thanks for posting.

See if they or another dealer nearby does mobile service. In reality it should be under an hour to do the reprogramming.

Had the turn signal biz recall done by mobile service, driveway. Took less than 15 minutes.

He did warn the reflash might affect the TPMS stuff, and he didn’t have the TPMS reset box, could come back. Told him Ford dealer <5 miles away (his drive 26 miles from his dealer), can prob get it done there, provide they not charge. He said if they do charge, he gladly come back to do it.

On way to nearby dealer, tried the TPMS dash display. Got readings. But I wondered if correct. So I did stop at dealer and they did the TPMS wheel resets. And FOC. Happy!

Mobile came and did both my updates, and it took him about 45 minutes.

Good call! The dealer I made the appointment with did not do mobile service... but another dealer did!!! Getting it done next Friday while at work. Cancelled original appointment.

I called about the turn signal recall and got the same thing for the PCM update. Taking it in 3pm and they are doing both updates and oil change.

The 23C41 is a NOT a customer satisfaction program, it's a compliance recall Ford will perform free of charge.

This thread is about Customer Satisfaction Program 23P18, not compliance recall 23C41.

Yes the difference is a lot. Before the update, I used to get between 45 mpg up to 55 mpg on regular basis, never got less than 44 mpg. After the update is between 30 mpg up to no more than 40 mpg. And like you said the noise is different! I was happy about my truck because of the mileage it used to get, that was the main reason I bought a hybrid vehicle. Now I'm not so much! My truck is a Maverick X 2.5 L hybrid . I'll call the dealership to see what's going on this week!
