I googled dying plastics and found something that may work. Article said use cleaning solution for PVC pipe and add a petroleum oil dye. It comes in different colors. The cleaner allows the dye to penetrate the plastic. I would experiment on a hidden piece of the plastic to make sure it would not damage the plastic. Problem with the SEM it covers the surface and will eventually wear or scratch off. I had it put on my brown AMC Javelin cloth and vinyl seats. Cloth was stiff and the vinyl did wear through some.I am absolutely NOT a fan of the blue plastic interior. I am somewhat surprised that I have not seen any threads here where people started down the path of an interior color change. There are some very good quality paints/dyes these days (that you will NOT find at Wal-Mart). I used SEM Color Coat in my UTE on plastic with great results, but I admit it's on interior sunroof trim plastics that don't see a lot of contact or risk or scratching/scuffing. I don't mean to thread-jack from the OP but if anyone has strongly considered this or started down this route, a different thread on this topic would be worthwhile.
