Everyone has a preference. I personally love my BAP'd out interior with the blue and gray. I think it gives it some understated color and also harkens back to a 90s F-Series truck which for me is just awesome.

As others have stated - this has been widely known and a simple google search ahead of time would have shown you as much.

Ford only bears responsibility for their color choices, not your ignorance about them.

Should have consulted Kenny:

I think allot of you are enjoying your 20/20 hindsight a little too much. See allot of shade being thrown at the OP....

We all know that when MY2023 Order Books opened in mid September '22, the only reference we had to the BAP was the heavily doctored photos on the Ford Build site (shown about a day before order banks closed too) that made everything appear grey / black. You had 5 days to try to find out more about it before placing your order. Ford was totally dishonest in the way the BAP was presented. Many of us were shocked when it arrived, especially for the XLT (where it was charcoal grey apholstry, not black).

That said the OP did have time to research it later and cancel it as the true nature of the BAP was revealed (what it really was as opposed to what we all thought it was). However, seeing that he literally joined today, he probably wasn't scouring the interwebs looking for information on the BAP; afterall he had the Ford photos on the build site.

To this day, I'm shocked the BAP photos still remain as misleading as they are on the Build site even for the MY2024 XLT (at least now they are showing the rear armrest). It still is a gross and intentional misrepresentation. I imagine all of the apologists will defend it before being 'stylized'; but the fact is it's an intentional misrepresentation of what $1695 (plus the required lux package $ now) delivers.

Nope, Black is an option. Its even in the configurator.
You admit you didn't care enough to do any research when ordering your 2023 with BAP, now you come here to advance your BAP argument. Interesting, when I go to the Ford site and view pics of the 2024 Maverick with BAP, I (still) clearly see multiple blue items.... Just like the 2023 pics..

FWIW: Just got the window sticker for my 23 XL. Sticker states: "Black Onyx Med Dark Slate" Interior. I'm sure it will be the dark blue.
That is referring to the seats. Not the plastics. I hate the blue that will be coming on my XL plastics.

You can see the Navy Pier parts of the interior on the 360° interior view.

Look at my photos from two posts above... Clearly the Navy Pier was represented as Grey in those doctored photos. Ford misrepresented it on their website through the Build app.

Even screen captures of me running the 360 on both.. Look at the glove Box... shown as a Grey, not blue..

So here is full disclosure: I ordered my MY2024 Maverick with the Black Appearance Package (I dislike the XLT and Lariat stock interiors). I know what it is. It could be better, but I accepted it for what it is. So, I'm not anti-BAP, but I am annoyed by the way it was represented and I knew some buyers would feel tricked.

But based on how it's represented on the Ford's site, I could understand someone not feeling like they needed to second guess the photos and keep researching.

I recall in 1995, my wife and I were ordering a Civic LX in Hunter Green w/ the Tan Interior. Dealer said if we would take a Maroon one w/ a Grey Interior that was coming in, we could get it faster. He didn't have a Grey one to show me, but did have a brochure photo... So okay, that's what I went by and didn't see another image until the car came in months later. Photos Honda published were enough for me.

I can appreciate why the OP would have just looked at the Ford Build site, noted the obvious differences in color that the photos represented.. and figured that's what he was getting, one with allot of grey. I can understand his disappointment, and appreciate why he didn't think it was necessary to continue to investigate the color of all of the interior plastics.

No one cares about your 30 year old Honda Civic. LOL

The OP wasn’t concerned enough to investigate at all what he was purchasing, he accepted the truck and took delivery, and now comes here to complain.

The 2024 Lariat BAP pics show a host of blue bits. If not certain, a prudent person would investigate..

Sounds like you did not research the vehicle very well. I researched the hell out of this truck, and every other vehicle I buy, I was very aware of the color schemes in all trims. If I watched one online video, I watched a hundred of them.
You should’ve added the BAP option to get a different interior. It comes with Black Onyx seat covers and Black wheels and more.

So my '23 blacked out mav arrived saturday. Never got to even get in one before then. So why is my "all black" mav outfitted with some gross blueish ugly interior? Is that all they offer? I mean it looks horrible inside :(
Sorry that it is blue rather than the black you expected. Unfortunately, you will also find out how cheap that blue plastic interior is. You cannot touch it without scratching/scuffing it. You just have to accept that it will show wear and tear very easily.
