Greetings!

Wondering if anyone else has battled or seen this issue...

My Headliner doesn't seem to reach all the way to the to the rubber water seal on the door. This effects both the passengers and driver's side of my Maverick (However the divers side is much worse).

Upon further inspection it might to look like the curtain airbag is sitting a lot lower on the driver's side than it is on the passengers side. Could this also be effected by the curtain airbag recall?

I have a service appointment on Friday and plan to have them look at it.

Has anyone else delt with this?

We should probably have the mods link all the airbag recall issue threads but I am thinking since the replacement bags could be thicker and now the wonky to begin with door seals cant really "stretch and hold" the airbag up and provide coverage that perhaps a new larger more rigid seal kit could accomplish what the currently flimsy seals aren't doing- Not sure...

Update for those of you potentially dealing with the same thing....

The dealership ordered me a new headliner today. So hopefully that will fix the issue...

Although they did leave am oil finger print on my old/ current headliner. 🙄

Had mine replaced by dealer, 22 Lariat Eco. Replacement had same issue. Had appointment with dealer to address, but sold it. My 23 hybrid is being shipped. My 22 was not subject to airbag recall.

My 23 has that inside backseat driver side door. Seen it a couple days after delivery. Was able to push headliner just barely under the seal, but not the b pillar cover. Haven't thought of it much as I don't see it.

I don't want dealer to mess things up worse or put dirty prints everywhere as they did on seats during work prior to delivery.

I may look into it myself and see if it is just not snapped in all the way one day. Tried lightly pressing it, but didnt know if there's an airbag in that location.
