Internet forums aren't really the best place to gauge things like that as it's a very small number of owners and in most cases the forum users don't reflect overall customers. About 15 years ago I was on a Maxima forum when Nissan announced the manual transmission was no longer going to be offered on Maxima's. With the outcry on the forum you would have thought 99% of Maxima's sold were manual transmissions. But the reality was that the Maxima had for a long time had less than a 5% take rate for a manual transmission.

What we really need is to know what what the take rate was in previous years for XL & Lariat Hybrid's vs Ecoboosts. I don't think Ford releases those numbers.
I have not seen any proof anywhere that forums are not a good representation of general ownership.🤷‍♂️ it's the best we've got until somebody can show otherwise.

I mean, I gave you a perfect example. Plus the thread you posted had at total of 364 votes which is really a joke compared to the hundreds of thousands of Maverick's sold. You'd have to be new to internet forums to not realize they are not really a good representation. Ford has actual hard evidence, they just don't break down sales like that for the public.

While larger samples are generally more precise, a sample size of just 1,000 to 1,500 people can be enough to estimate national opinion in the United States— .
The United States population is approximately
342.8 million
Public Opinion Polls: How does Gallup Polling Work?
The typical sample size for a Gallup poll, is 1,000 national adults with a margin of error of ±4 percentage points.
Gallup polling has been around 91 years for a reason.
If 1,000 out of 343 MILLION with a +/-4% error works.
I would say 364 out of 576,000 is not a bad sample. Now if one of our members who happens to be on Facebook can relate any of their numbers here and post them we'll see where it goes.
It's clear. Ford already knows that the numbers line up, because they discontinued the EcoBoost for the XL and the Lariat.

I figured they would wait for the next generation but good to see. I wonder what the new blue looks like. I prefer blue over the red I got.
I like it, it's described as a dark denim.

That's the best shade of blue I've seen yet for the Maverick (no offense to Velocity Blue folks). Now to see how Gladwell Green holds up against Eruption (I am not holding my breath, EG is perfection).

Copying the Subaru Ascent Limited Bronze. For me, I would plasti-dip over those horrendous bronze accents. But that's me. Must be bronze is the new thing.

When and where will we be able to see the Glacier Gray color?
Also the Bronze appearance package?

Good to know Ford is keeping the Tremor trim.

Glacier Gray has been on the Super Duty for a couple years now. It's a great color and am excited to see it on a smaller platform to see if it carries well on it.

Ok, I see that now. Also used on the Expedition. But to be honest, Carbonized grey is one of my favorites.

Always been a fan of Carbonized as well. I think it's a mistake getting rid of it. I would imagine it'll be back next year.
